Abstract: A computing system with an adaptive input mechanism that facilitates intuitive and powerful user/computer interaction is disclosed. One example embodiment includes a logic subsystem, a display link configured to connect a display subsystem to the logic subsystem, and an adaptive device link configured to operatively couple an adaptive device to the logic subsystem. The embodiment further includes an active desktop to host an active application and present the active application on the display subsystem, the active application having active focus. An active-desktop director may pass non-adaptive-device input to the active application having active focus. The embodiment further includes a hidden desktop to host a hidden application having hidden focus specific to the adaptive device while the active application has active focus on the active desktop. A hidden-desktop director may route adaptive-device input to the hidden application having hidden focus.
Abstract: A system and method for deploying software from a central location to a plurality of remote install sites. The system includes a network-accessible server system and a plurality of computing devices. Based on delivery of a general application deliverable from the server system, a runtime-based application is installed at each of the computing devices. Varying tags are delivered from the network-accessible server system to generate various implementations of the runtime-based application at the computing devices.

Abstract: The invention concerns a pneumatic needle gripper that comprises two due slides (33) on board a gripper body (10) each carrying at least one pair of needle grippers (36). The needles on a slide are facing towards the needles on the other slide, each sloping and converging towards a frontal plane (16) of the gripper body. Abstract: A process with a corresponding device for lung ventilation involves recording an image of the lung status with an electric impedance tomography (EIT) system (2) and the total area of ventilated lung areas is determined by a computing unit (4) from all image values, subsequently divided into at least two lung areas and the extent of the homogeneity of the ventilated lung areas is determined by comparison of the impedance changes within these areas. In case of a homogeneity rated as being too low, the respiration pressures are increased step by step by means of the respirator (1) and the respiration pressure at which the greatest possible homogeneity is obtained from subsequently determined status images is determined by means of the EIT system (2).
