Abstract: A hybrid propulsion system for a passenger vehicle is provided. The system comprises a first and second electric motor in the drivetrain, in addition to a transmission. When each of the motors are providing braking torque, the transmission state is adjusted in response to the amounts of braking torque provided by the first and second motors.
Abstract: A utility vehicle comprises plural rows of seats mounted in a vehicle body of the utility vehicle, and an extendable cargo bed positioned behind the seats. The cargo bed includes a bottom wall member having an extended region which is extended forward relative to a cargo accommodating space in an unextended state of the cargo bed. The plural rows of seats include a rear seat having a rear seat seating portion which is rotatably provided on the extended region of the bottom wall member such that the rear seat seating portion is rotatable forward to an upright position. The rear seat seating portion has a bottom plate provided integrally with a bottom surface thereof. In a state where the rear seat seating portion is rotated forward and is in the upright position, the bottom plate of the rear seat seating portion defines a front wall member of the cargo bed.
Abstract: Systems and methods for selecting a ranker for statistical natural language processing are provided. One disclosed system includes a computer program configured to be executed on a computing device, the computer program comprising a data store including reference performance data for a plurality of candidate rankers, the reference performance data being calculated based on a processing of test data by each of the plurality of candidate rankers. The system may further include a ranker selector configured to receive a statistical natural language processing task and a performance target, and determine a selected ranker from the plurality of candidate rankers based on the statistical natural language processing task, the performance target, and the reference performance data.

Abstract: The present invention connects a first wiring portion located at one side of a substrate and a second wiring portion located at the other side. A side electrode connected to the first wiring portion is formed, and the second wiring portion is formed on an insulating layer formed on the substrate. Abstract: Systems and method for providing a single sign in a gaming console that associates online activity that is out-of-game/cross game, and/or online activity that is in-game, and/or activity that is offline and in-game with that account. While online, a service tracks activity of gamers and provides usage statistics in a profile. While offline, the game console tracks the player's activity via a mechanism to collect detailed information about a specific player's in-game statistics and accomplishments. The offline activity is cached and uploaded when the console connects to the online service. Players can accumulate achievements offline that are credited towards online activities.

Abstract: A device for extracting a nozzle assembly of a fuel injection installation. The nozzle assembly is pressed into a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, with a support pipe, with which the extraction device of the device is supported in the area surrounding the nozzle assembly on the valve cover during the extraction operation. Abstract: A method of controlling an engine with a first group of cylinders having selectively deactivatable cylinders valves and a variable camshaft timing actuator coupled in a hydraulic system is described. In one example, the method includes during a first mode where the first group of cylinders is activated to carry out combustion cycles, adjusting the hydraulic system with a first gain based on cam timing feedback information and/or maintaining a null position of the actuator by adjusting a control signal to the hydraulic system to within a first value range. During a second mode where the first group of cylinders is deactivated, the method includes adjusting the hydraulic system with a second gain based on cam timing feedback information, the second gain higher than the first gain and/or maintaining the null position of the actuator by adjusting the control signal to the hydraulic system to within a second value range.

Abstract: Various embodiments related to photoluminescent backlighting for a light valve are disclosed herein. One disclosed embodiment comprises a computing device with a light valve having a viewing side and a back side.
