Abstract: A collapsible and disposable container for engine oil which can package fresh engine oil for dispensing into internal combustion engines, or alternatively can be employed for catching, holding and storing engine oil drained from an internal combustion engine when it is desired to change the oil.
Abstract: A game wherein a plurality of bomber pieces with associated bombs are moved upon a game board in opposition against a plurality of missile pieces until either the last missile or last bomber is destroyed. The board game apparatus includes coding of the bombs to match the initial starting positions of particular missiles, and a plurality radar paths defining movement for the missiles which paths interconnect with a single branched flight path that defines movement for the bombers.
Abstract: Highly sensitive, fiber optical cables, embedded in titanium, and remaining free from the refractive distortion ordinarily attributable to the presence of diffused titanium molecules in the fiber, are made possible by an optical fiber-intermetallic composite having a titanium aluminide barrier layer between the optical fiber material and a titanium matrix material. The composite forms a useful means of optically sensing and monitoring the environmental and structural disturbances to which titanium aircraft structures are exposed.
Abstract: Positive working polyamic acid photoresist compositions are disclosed having improved high resolution upon image development and exhibiting stable photosensitivity and superior dielectric performance. The compositions comprise polyamic acid condensation products of an aromatic dianhydride and an aromatic di-primary amine wherein a percentage of the diamine comprises special dissolution inhibiting monomers. The compositions may be further improved by the presence of particular supplemental additives.

Abstract: An improved method for inhibiting inland atmospheric corrosion of steel by a sacrificial coating of aluminum, galvanically activated by small surface deposits of metallic indium is disclosed.
Abstract: An improved ratchet tool having a head member and a tubular member attached thereto. The head member includes a ball and pin for engagement with a rotating lock member. A handhold having a spacer plate attached thereto is telescoped over the tubular member wherein a pin extending from the spacer plate engages a notch in the tubular member to limit relative rotation of the handhold to 45 degrees.
Abstract: More effective electrochemical activation of IVD aluminum coatings, stable against the formation of passive oxide films, is made possible by ionic vapor deposition of metal-coated or alloyed aluminum or magnesium wire onto steel or aluminum substrates.

Abstract: A reagent for proteolytic enzyme assays has the general formula ##STR1## where RCO-- is an enzyme reactive acyl, such as an amino acid, peptide or substituted amino acid or peptide. The reagent may be hydrolysed by proteolytic enzymes and developed to form a distinctive color. The reagent may be formed by reacting RCOOH with N-hydroxysuccinimide to form the acyl N-hydroxysuccinimide ester. The ester may then be reacted to form the reagent.
Abstract: An improved system for preventing low-water or "dry-boiler" failures which includes automatically flushing the low-water cut-off control valve and monitoring the external temperature of the boiler jacket so as to shut off the burners of the boiler, when such external temperature exceeds a pre-determined maximum, is disclosed.
Abstract: An improved ratchet tool having a rotatable handhold, coupled with a shaft telescoped in a tubular handle is made more simple and more securely self-locking by the presence of a rotary lock device for the rotor that drives the tool and a rigid shifter finger offset radially from the shaft axis which projects from the end of the shaft into a recess within the rotary lock to rotate the lock to corresponding direction changing positions upon manual rotation of the handhold, while simultaneously securely locking the rotor against undesirable movement when under loaded torque.
Abstract: Rectifying the compressive strength and toxic waste levels of ground water passages is achieved through the formation of a type C fly ash screen reinforcement of the passage.
Abstract: Pentaerythritol co-esters derived from pentaerythritol, (3-alkyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-alkanoic acids and alkylthioalkanoic acids or lower alkyl esters of such acids are useful as stabilizers of organic material normally susceptible to oxidative and/or thermal deterioration. The co-esters are advantageously prepared by transesterification of such esters with pentaerythritol. Preferred co-esters are (I) pentaerythritol tris[3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate]-mono[3-n-dodecylthiopro pionate] and (II) pentaerythritol bis[-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate]-bis[3-n-dodecylthiopro pionate]. The co-esters are especially useful in stabilizing applications for which physical mixtures of (i) (3-alkyl-4-hydroxyphenylalkanoic acid esters of polyols with (ii) polyalkanol esters of alkylthioalkanoic acids have heretofore been proposed.
