  • Patent number: 8219944
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are disclosed for performing RC extraction from the perspective of the block level. A translation mechanism is employed to convert from a full-chip design domain to a block-level design domain. This allows model-based prediction results to be used in the early design implementation flow when parasitic RC and timing extractions are performed, where the model-based prediction results relate to predictions of manufacturing variations such as thickness and topography.

  • Patent number: 8214354
Abstract: Techniques for using arbitrary sets of objects to constrain objects in database systems. The constraint set of objects is associated with the constrained object in the database system and the database system will perform an operation which adds an object to the constrained object only if the object being added belongs to the constraint set. In a preferred embodiment, the techniques are employed to obtain constraint sets of terms from ontologies which are then used to constrain columns containing those terms. An implementation of the techniques makes a materialized view out of the objects in the constraint set and uses the materialized view to define a referential integrity constraint on the constrained column.

  • Patent number: 8208494
Abstract: Packets can be intelligently sliced by removing irrelevant portions of a packet, while retaining relevant portions. For a series of network packets, a packet is obtained from the network. The packet includes at least a header, one or more packet fields, and a first data payload. The protocol of the packet is determined. Once the protocol is known, the packet header is parsed to determine the position of the first data payload. Based on the determine positions of the first data payload, a modified packet is created by removing or masking the first data payload.

  • Patent number: 8209002
Abstract: Method and apparatus for computer enabled analysis of ECG (electro cardiographic) data by exploiting computerized three-dimensional spatial presentation of the measured data using vectors. A three-dimensional presentation of the human heart may be correlated with waveforms specific for standard ECG or derived ECG signals based on the dipole approximation of the heart electrical activity. Additional tools for analyzing ECG data are also provided which may be used to determine the time of cardiac electrical events, to select specific beats for automated cardiac interval determination, and to flag ECGs that have been evaluated by automated means but may benefit by human reading.

  • Patent number: 8209643
Abstract: A method and mechanism is disclosed for identifying connected shapes and objects in an electrical design. The entire hierarchical design does not have to be flattened to perform the operation of identifying connected objects for a specific object. Instead of unfolding the entire design hierarchy, only the specific instances of shapes falling within the geometric bounds of shapes need to be unfolded to perform the search.
