Abstract: A receiver employs iterative decoding of packet data, where the packet data represents a data frame encoded with at least two logical dimensions. A logical dimension refers to a layer, or sub-layer, of a layered network architecture. Consequently, a first logical dimension of encoding might refer to error detection in a packet frame at the data link layer, while a second logical dimension of coding might refer to error detection/correction encoding at a physical layer. For example, a data frame might be divided into several packets, each with a corresponding cyclic redundancy check (CRC) value as coding in the first logical dimension, which are then transmitted with a convolutional code as coding in the second logical dimension. The receiver performs iterative decoding in the first and second logical dimensions until either i) all errors are identified and corrected or ii) another type of stopping condition is met.

Abstract: A plurality of data signals are received over an antenna array having a plurality of antenna elements. The data signals are transmitted over a shared spectrum in a wireless communication system. A signal having each of the data signals is received over each antenna element. The plurality of data signals are grouped into a plurality of groups. The received signals of the antenna elements are matched filtered for a first group of the plurality of groups, producing a matched filtered result. Data is jointly detected of the first group using the matched filtered result. An interference correction signal is constructed using the detected data for each antenna element. The interference cancelled result is subtracted from the received signal of each antenna element, producing an interference cancelled result for each antenna element. Data is successively detected for remaining groups using the interference cancelled result for each antenna element.
Abstract: The gauge lens with anti-fog film includes a substantially planar transparent lens substrate having an outer surface and an inner surface and a thin film possessing anti-fog properties adjacent and substantially covering the inner surface of the lens substrate to provide a low angle of contact for water and moisture. The anti-fog film is bonded to the lens substrate during the molding process that produces the lens substrate shape. The anti-fog film comprises a hydrophilic material or is coated with a hydrophilic coating. In addition to the anti-fog film, in another embodiment, the outer surface of the lens substrate has a hard coat film adjacent and substantially covering the outer surface of said lens. The materials for the lens substrate, anti-fog film, and hard coat film are selected based on the application, performance, and stability of the gauge lens in the environment that it is operated.

Abstract: Axial thrust washers are provided in the axial contact region of the bearing raceway of an unbalance shaft. The axial thrust washers do not extend beyond 360° in the circumferential direction, but extend only over a little more than the unbalance masses which extend in this region. The end sections of the axial thrust washers are bent over so that they are supported on the prominent unbalance masses, and form a funnel-like entry region for the rolling elements or for a cage of the rolling bearing which houses the rolling elements.

Abstract: A clutch unit (1) including at least one wet clutch (28, 29) and a torsional vibration damper (12) which are accommodated in a housing (8) driven by the drive unit. In order to simplify assembly, pre-assembled modular units (3, 4, 5) are formed that are joined together during the final assembly process. Advantageously, a separation point is provided between two modular units in the torsional vibration damper, wherein one modular unit (3) includes the energy accumulators (11) captively accommodated in a housing part (6), while the other modular unit (4) includes the output part of the torsional vibration damper as an input part (13) of the at least one wet clutch.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) with improved performance through channel quality prediction employing link adaption techniques including a receiver which makes selective measurements on downlink transmissions, and then stores one or more of the measurements or a channel quality indicator derived therefrom. The receiver then retrieves one or more of the past measurements (or the past channel quality estimates themselves), and combines it with current measurements (or the current channel quality estimate), to predict what the channel quality will be at some future time and derive a predictive channel quality indicator (CQI). This predictive CQI, derived from both current channel measurements and at least one past channel measurement, is then sent to the transmitter for use in updating transmission parameters.
Abstract: At a first user equipment (UE), an uplink signal is received of at least one second UE is received and time marked. At the first UE, a downlink signal from at least one base station is received and time marked. Observed time differences of arrival are determined using the time markings. A position of the first UE is determined based on the determined time differences of arrival.

Abstract: A magnetic element and its manufacturing method are provided. A magnetic element includes an actuation part having a first surface and a second surface, a torsion bar connected to the actuation part, and a frame connected to the first torsion bar, wherein the first surface of the actuation part is an uneven surface. The manufacturing method of the magnetic element starts with forming an passivation layer on a substrate and defining a special area by the mask method, then continues with forming the adhesion layer and electroplate-initializing layer on the substrate sequentially. The photoresist layer are formed and the magnetic-inductive material is electroformed on the electroplate area. Finally, the substrate is etched and the passivation layer is removed to obtain the magnetic element. The manufacturing method of magnetic element of the present invention can be applied in the microelectromechanical system field and other categories.
