Abstract: A panelled mailing bag with zippered opening and a spaced two-part address card mounting pocket on a panel thereof with a card so received therein that the mid portion is exposed to receive postage and enable ready cancellation thereof. The card is apertured for securement by seal means to the zipper slide and eyeletted patches on the bag panels whereby the slide is maintained in closed locked position and unauthorized access to the bag is prevented without leaving overt evidence.
Abstract: Disposable type body encircling device having a front opening for examination access to the genitalia and a rearwardly disposed anal opening adhesively adhered around the anus. A funnel shaped strut reinforced tubular chute portion depends from the anal area and is formed with an open and sealable discharge end for removable attachment to the upper end of a disposable bag so that feces is droppable and collectable therein without soiling the patient and for visual inspection thereof. The bag may be detached from the chute portion to enable rectal tests and examinations to be made therethrough, and for emptying, cleaning, and/or replacement thereof when needed, permitting temporary sealing of the chute when the patient is lying on one side, or becomes ambulatory.
Abstract: A vise-like C-clamp with adjusting screw and wherein two elongated square bars are fixedly attached to one jaw thereof and the clamping end of the adjusting screw whereby a pair of gripping heads may be selected from a group of variously shaped heads and oppositely and interchangeably arranged on each of the bars. The clamp may be hand held or adjustably mounted in a supporting base for gripping and positioning variously shaped work pieces in horizontal, vertical, and angularly held positions while work is performed thereon.
Abstract: A portable stand for supporting a taco-like food product in position preparatory to consumption which includes a pair of spaced legs recessed at their upper ends to snugly accommodate the curved lower end of an open upper-ended generally V-shaped taco receiving holder including a pair of flat diverging walls so that a taco may be inserted therebetween and horizontally supported in the lower end thereof and the filling secured within the folded taco and prevented from being dislodged therefrom and whereby the taco may be lifted therefrom for consumption.
Abstract: A supporting bracket for guitars and other stringed instruments embodying at least a pair of generally L-shaped metal hanger rods encased in plastic with their ends covered by caps. The rods are attachable to the top and bottom walls of an amplifier by flat metal mounting plates having channels therein snugly and sleevably accommodating the rod shanks so that the latter are projectable at right angles to a side wall of the amplifier with the bent ends extending generally parallel thereto in opposing alignable relation and are frictionally slidably adjustable relative to the channeled mounting plates to enable the bent end of the lowermost rod or rods to receive and support the lower end of the guitar, and the corresponding bent end of the uppermost rod embracing the finger board portion thereof to securely erectly support the instrument on the amplifier accessible to a musician.
Abstract: Simulated log corner units for constructing log cabin type structures from preformed log siding, which units are arranged on a foundation at the corners thereof and each include a vertically disposed beam to which a series of relatively short alternately arranged log end pieces are offsettedly attached so as to alternately project forwardly and laterally therefrom at right angles to each other at each corner and simulate the ends of the siding logs so as to be compatible with the log type siding applied to the exterior walls of the structure and the latter will have the appearance of a conventionally erected log cabin.
Abstract: A method for debittering soybeans to destroy and extract the bitter taste therefrom. Soybeans are loaded into open baskets with foraminous bottoms suspended from links on a chain conveyor successively and intermittently indexed by rachet driven sprockets through three zones of a processing tank having an exhaust hood. Water preheated to approximately 198.degree. F. flows through the tank and each zone thereof has a steam manifold therein whereby steam is injected into the first zone to raise the water temperature to approximately 214.degree. F. and bubble and agitate the water and the beans loaded in the baskets. The baskets and beans then travel through the second zone wherein they continue to be agitated by action of steam but wherein the temperature is lowered by the injection of tempering water to approximately 212.degree. F. Thereafter, upon entry into zone three, agitation of the beans continue with temperature also being approximately 212.degree. F.
Abstract: Firemen and other rescue workers customarily use various portable rescue equipment, such as, saws, or prying tools, and air evacuation or exhaust fans powered by internal combustion motors. As a lack of atmospheric air or a reduction to levels not supporting internal combustion affects the proper functioning of such motors, atmospheric air is excluded from the carburetors thereof by an air exclusion hood means attached thereto or associated therewith, and air from an air pack worn by the worker or other suitable remotely located source of compressed air is introduced thereinto through a line from such source to a demand type regulator valve as such fresh air is demanded or required by the motor. Thus, a supply of uncontaminated air from the air pack or remote source may be fed into the demand regulator valve and, thence, into the carburetor to fulfill the requirements of the motor and to insure the proper functioning thereof.
Abstract: A fireplace ash cleaning shovel having a generally rectangular base chamber with a sloping ash receiving front and a flat lid hinged thereto and having a downwardly depending angled front for hingedly closing the base chamber. An elongated hollow handle, attached to the rear wall of the base chamber and projecting at right angles therefrom, receives an elongated operating rod with bent extremities thereon so that manual rotation of the bent rear end causes the bent forward end to engage with and elevate the lid against spring pressure. When opened, the shovel may be inserted into a fireplace and filled with ashes, after which the lid is lowered to permit removal of the shovel and emptying and disposal of the ashes exteriorly of the fireplace.
