Abstract: A two-part ski pole including upper and lower tubular shaft sections with a snow pad above the pointed lower end of the lower section. Arranged at the upper end of the lower shaft section and supported for collapsible folding position relative thereto is a circular flexibly rimmed fabric seat adapted to be housed and concealed within the upper shaft section when collapsed. Sleeved removal of the upper shaft section permits unfolding and expansion of the flexible seat for skier supporting use.

Abstract: A liquid dispenser embodying a plastic canister with a fill inlet at one end and an outlet spout at the other end insertable within a cylindrical plastic valve body formed with a bracket thereon for removable wall mounting. A decorated plastic cover is removably attached to the front of and conceals the canister when wall mounted. The valve body includes a metal ball valve and a finger operable valve actuator pivoted in the valve body and provided with a magnet at its inner lower end for pivotal movement into engagement with the valve body to attract and move the ball valve relative to the outlet spout opening so that the contents may be dispensed therethrough.

Abstract: A single pivot connection for a legrest of a vehicle seat and the like includes a shaft extending from a bracket attached to the seat and an arm bracket attached to the legrest and pivotally supported upon the shaft. The arm bracket has a cylindrical portion and there is a hub on the end of the cylindrical portion with a circumferentially extending notch therein which receives a key formed in an annular member rotatably positioned upon the hub. A gear mounted on the shaft is engageable with a pawl and there is a braking disc between the end of the cylindrical portion and gear such that the application of a predetermined force on the legrest will pivot the legrest with respect to the seat. The pawl engages the gear as the legrest pivots to a horizontal position and pivoting beyond the horizontal to the vertical up position causes cam surfaces on the annular member to disengage the pawl from the gear so that the legrest is free for pivotal movement.

Abstract: A panelled mailing bag with zippered opening and a spaced two-part address card mounting pocket on a panel thereof with a card so received therein that the mid portion is exposed to receive postage and enable ready cancellation thereof. The card is apertured for securement by seal means to the zipper slide to retain the card in its pocket and the slide zipper in closed position.

Abstract: An arithmetic teaching aid for demonstrating the spatial relation between positive and negative numbers to enable the teaching of operations in the set of integers, and includes a mirror surface with an arm projecting at an angle of 90.degree. therefrom and having positive integer means spacedly and vertically arranged thereon so that the integers reflected by the mirror surface will indicate to students viewing from the front negative integers and their relationship with the positive integers.

Abstract: A portable type anemometer having light weight wind rotor cups arranged on arms extending radially from and pivotally connected to a spindle vertically journalled within and extending from a housing including apparatus for monitoring shaft rotation and registering wind velocity. The arms and cups are collapsible from active horizontal positions to upstanding generally parallel inactive vertical positions for anemometer storage purposes.

Abstract: A beer tap rod and tap retainer including a bracket with an apertured lateral extension at its upper end and a clamping ring spaced therebelow for mounting a tap therebetween so that the rod is sleevable therethrough and the clamping ring rotatably interlocked with the neck of a keg to retain the rod and tap thereon and prevent accidental ejection thereof.

Abstract: A portable vehicle engine handling hydraulic hoist including a wheeled base for mounting a vertically and swingable base boom with a tiltable and longitudinally movable horizontal boom pivoted to the upper end thereof. A nose pivoted to the outer end of the horizontal boom includes a shaft for carrying an engine supporting sling having spaced arms for bolting connection to the engine. A self-contained electric motor, hydraulic pump and oil reservoir are arranged on the base and connected by hydraulic lines to a control panel with control selectors adapted to be handled by the operator for selectively hydraulically actuating hydraulic cylinders in and connected to the booms and the horizontal boom nose and engine sling mounting shaft whereby an engine requiring repair may be readily disconnected from its motor mounts and transmission and so manipulated with precision and removed from a vehicle within the close confines of a stall in a repair shop and replaced when repaired or another engine installed.

Abstract: An air circulating heater including a walled enclosure covered by a fire plate and adapted to be inserted within a regular or below a self-standing fireplace. A circulating fan is positioned behind a louvered front panel so that cold room air is drawn thereinto and directed upwardly and rearwardly by fan shaped baffles on the underside of the fire plate. The cold air is heated through the fire plate by heat within the fireplace and the heated air is returned to the room through the louvered panel.

Abstract: A mobile self-propelled harvesting vehicle adapted to travel along rows of vegetables and having a pair of spaced elongated cradles thereon for supporting workers in face down reclining positions with their arms and hands free for manually picking vegetables as the vehicle is moved along the rows thereover and depositing the same on an endless conveyor for delivery to and depositing in container means rearwardly of the vehicle for packing and removal.

Abstract: A zippered opening flexible walled security container having a lock for securing the zipper slide fastener in locked position wherein the lock is so secured to the container walls to prevent button holing of the attachment means and back feeding of the lock and slide fastener to provide access to the container and surreptitious removal of its contents.

Abstract: This tie down for seat cushions, such as single and multiple mounted type vehicle seat cushions resides in tabs swivelly attached to the opposing sides of the seat cushions and depending downwardly therefrom with the apertures being formed therein adjacent the free ends thereof. Upstanding hooks having bent ears thereon are anchored in the seat frames adjacent the side and center arm rest frames whereby cushions horizontally supported by the seat frames may be detached therefrom and rotated or reversed and reattached to and restrained by the hooks so as to present a clean or unworn seating surface when desired.

Abstract: A portable lifting device for raising and freeing stuck and mired vehicles including a pair of wide spaced generally flat channel iron supporting plates spanned and having a wide flat channeled base plate removably connected thereto with the lower end of a two part telescopically adjustable lever fulcrummed therein. The lever is angled toward the stuck vehicle and a chain from a towing vehicle is positioned over the forked upper end of the lever and is attached to the vehicle so that when a pull is exerted on the chain the lever swings upwardly and forwardly and lifts the attached end of the vehicle until the lever falls free of the chain permitting the vehicle to be towed thereover without interruption.

Abstract: A device for mounting chairs relative to the floor mounting tracks or rails in railroad dining cars and aircarft and the like so as to permit sliding movement of the chairs but restrains them from being dislodged and upset in the event of accidents or sudden stops. This device includes a bracket anchored to a floor rail and spanning & clampingly engaging the lower leg portions of a chair so that the latter may slide fore and aft relative to the bracket and rail and yet be restrained against other movements.

Abstract: A large dimension beam cutting, detailing and mitering attachment for removable connection to the base plate of a portable circular power saw, wherein the cutting blade has been removed therefrom, and which includes a flat base attachment plate having a flat cutter bar and endless saw chain arranged thereon, with the bar fixedly attached thereto and depending at right angles therefrom. A sprocket associated with the saw chain is mounted on the drive shaft of the saw and the base attachment plate flatly receives and has means for attaching the cicular saw base plate thereto so that beams may be smoothly cut or mitered when the attachment plate is flatly disposed thereon and moved thereover. This enables the saw chain to be used in the same manner as a circular saw.

Abstract: An artificial tree, such as a Christmas tree, including two hollow trunk members sleeved together and having removable limb sockets angularly disposed in said members. A lighting system comprising wiring is arranged within the trunk members and wiring sockets are disposed within openings in the trunk members adjacent the limb sockets and retained therein by spring clip members arranged in the trunk members opposite to the wiring sockets. Limbs extend outwardly from the limb sockets whereby bulbs and wiring extending from the wiring sockets may be secured thereto. Top and bottom caps are provided on the trunk members and the latter is sleeved over a supporting base.

Abstract: An elongated flat flexible plastic plate having a bent flat portion at one end. A Velcro securing strip is mounted on the flat portion, an inventory designating card having a similar Velcro securing strip on one face thereof may be fixedly but removably arranged on the other strip. The flat plate may be inserted into a roll of carpeting and the like stored in racks so that the inventory card will be outwardly of the end of the roll and will have appropriate indicia thereon indicating style, color, size, and footage of the carpeting. The card is readily removable for revising this data when any carpeting is removed from the roll.

Abstract: A device for supporting and holding open the mouth end of a bag during the filling thereof including an elongated, relatively thin, flexible, plastic sheet having hand openings and a series of spaced slots therein and depending locking tabs on one end thereof. Thus, the sheet may be bent into cylindrical form with its edges overlapping and the tabs disposed in those slots which permit the sheet to cylindrically and snugly conform to that of the bag within which it is inserted. When so sleeved within the mouth of a bag, the locking tabs will retain the sheet in assembled position to permit of ready filling thereof, after which the device may be withdrawn and collapsed for reuse.
