Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method is provided herein for social commerce analytics and optimization. A hosted platform collects and stores online visitor traffic data from social media platforms and from commercial platforms linked to social media campaigns operating on the social media platforms. Algorithms are executed to establish baseline performance parameters for the commercial platforms based on the stored data, and visitors of the social media campaigns and commercial platforms are identified and scored based on predetermined scoring metrics. The scores are aggregated with respect to the social media campaigns and/or the commercial platforms, and actual performances based on the aggregated scores are compared with the established baseline performance parameters.
Abstract: A drainage system is provided for a livewell compartment within a fishing boat. A flexible and reinforced hose is coupled on a first end to a pump assembly associated with the livewell and extends through an aperture in the boat hull to a second end. A seal interfaces the hose and the hull in association with the aperture. Fluid is delivered from the livewell through the hose to the exterior of the boat through the second end of the hose. The hose includes a compression or tension spring which applies a first longitudinal force with respect to the second end of the hose. The hose is effective to extract from the hull in response to a second longitudinal force applied to the hose and greater than the first force, and is retractable toward the hull in the absence of the second force.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a novel method for increasing the production of acetate, decreasing the production of butyrate, increasing the population and species of beneficial bacteria and slowing the rate of fermentation of prebiotics within the gut of a formula-fed infant. The method comprises administration of a therapeutically effective amount of PDX to the infant.

Abstract: A modular electronic ballast is provided for powering a fluorescent lamp. A motherboard is configured to receive an AC input signal, one or more supplemental input signals and a feedback signal from the lamp. A ballast control circuit generates an output signal for an oscillating inverter driving the lamps. A daughter card is coupled to the motherboard and selected from a plurality of daughter cards, each configured to provide a dimming control signal having predetermined characteristics and readable by the control circuit. The daughter cards are collectively configured to provide dimming control signals in response to each of a line-coupled demand response interface, one or more digitally addressable interfaces, analog dimming signals received via said supplemental communications bus, and three-wire phase control signals received via said AC line and said supplemental communications bus. The motherboard is configured to interchangeably receive any one of the daughter cards.
Abstract: An electronic ballast is provided for powering one or more discharge lamps independently connected in parallel. An inverter having a pair of switching elements converts a DC supply signal into AC power. A transformer has a primary winding coupled to an output terminal of the inverter. A load circuit includes independently operable discharge lamp circuits coupled in parallel with each other and across a secondary winding of the transformer. An inductance control circuit includes an inductive element coupled in series with the primary winding of the transformer and a bi-directional switch coupled in parallel across the inductive element. A switch state of the bi-directional switch is controllably adjustable between first and second switch states and in accordance with a desired duty ratio. A magnitude of a voltage across the secondary winding of the transformer and thereby across each lamp circuit is dependent on the switch state of the bi-directional switch.
Abstract: An LED driver circuit is provided for protecting one (or more) LEDs connected in series from over-current damages which may result from a short circuit condition. The driver circuit includes a current control circuit for receiving an input signal from a power source and providing a current output for powering the LED. A voltage sensor detects a voltage across the LED. An LED current restriction circuit such as a switching element restricts a current flow into the LED. A short circuit response circuit controls the LED current restriction circuit dependent on a comparison between the voltage detected by the voltage sensor and a predetermined threshold value. When the detected voltage is less than or equal to the threshold value, the response circuit determines a short circuit, and a signal is sent to the current restriction circuit to restrict current flow into the one or more LEDs.
Abstract: A shank bit, in particular a road milling bit, having a carrier part (10) that comprises a shank (11), the shank (11) carrying a bit tip (18) made of hard material, the carrier part comprising, in the region between the shank and the bit tip, a receiving portion (14) on which a head part is held (30), and the head part comprising a circumferential chip discharge surface (34.1) tapering in a direction toward the bit tip. In order to enable a shank bit of this kind to be designed in wear-optimized fashion, the head part is held rotatably with respect to the carrier part.
Abstract: A bolt action rifle with safety latching mechanism has an upper receiver including a movable bolt assembly, a lower receiver having a trigger assembly and releasably attached to the upper receiver, the bolt assembly movable between a cocked position and an uncocked position, and the upper receiver and the lower receiver including a latching mechanism operable to prevent the lower receiver from being detached from the upper receiver while the bolt assembly is in the cocked position.
Abstract: Construction machine, with working drum mounted at a machine frame, combustion engine for driving the working drum, drive train between the combustion engine and the working drum, and clutch in the drive train, where the clutch is arranged between a drive shaft and output shaft of the drive train, clutch elements on drive side capable of being engaged with clutch elements on output side, where clutch elements on the drive side or on output side are provided with several clutch part elements that are permanently engaged with one another via at least one mechanical coupling, it is provided that a braking device acting between the drive shaft and the output shaft is arranged at the clutch, said braking device being additionally engaged during engagement of the clutch in order to eliminate or reduce any rotary vibrations caused by play of mechanical coupling between clutch part elements.

Abstract: An electronic ballast circuit includes a striation reduction circuit that can create an asymmetry in a lamp power signal that powers a gas-discharge lamp. The striation reduction circuit may have first and second circuit paths to cause the asymmetry in the lamp power signal. The first circuit path transmits the AC component signal of an input signal associated with an AC voltage while the second circuit path transmits a DC component signal. A non-linear component in the second circuit path is utilized to generate a harmonic component signal. AC component signal, DC component signal, and harmonic component signal are superimposed onto one another to cause an asymmetry in the lamp power signal that powers the gas discharge lamp.
