  • Patent number: 7017778
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a display dispenser having a disposable molded tray with a thin shell, unibody construction that firmly receives a removable pusher assembly. The tray is formed from a unitary sheet of plastic that forms inner and outer shells. Each shell forms the inside or outside half of a continuous wall around the perimeter of the tray. The two wall halves are integrally joined along a top portion, but otherwise spaced apart to provide a double-walled construction. Each wall has a frustoconical shape so that the trays nest into each other when stacked. The inner shell has an interior portion with two symmetrical side ledges that support and align the sides of the packages. The top of the package faces forward to show the artistic design on the article such as the paper plates or paper napkins inside. The inner shell has a central recess that snuggly receives the unified pusher assembly. A rim extending from the wall and a floor of the recess lay flat on a surface of a shelf.

  • Patent number: 7014762
Abstract: A device for the deionization of incoming water is disclosed. The device includes a tank and a generally hollow distributor tube in the tank for ingress into and downward movement of unpurified water through the tank. An opening adjacent the bottom of the generally hollow distributor tube and near the bottom of the tank distributes the unpurified water out of the generally hollow distributor tube. A mixed bed of purifying resin is within the tank, and surrounds the generally hollow distributor tube. The unpurified water travels upwardly through the tank where it is deionized to a high purity water by the mixed bed of purifying resin, after egress from the opening. The deionized water passes through a distributor and a filter before leaving the tank through an outlet.

  • Patent number: 7013885
Abstract: A collapsible grill and stand which can be used indoors over a fireplace, having a grill stand which makes it possible to position and support the grill member over the burning logs, charcoal or gas within the fireplace and under the flue so the smoke, gases, odors and heat are exhausted to the outside through the flue and do not enter the interior of the room or building. The stand includes an upright center post having a vertical passageway in which a telescoping insert is received, such insert having a laterally extending arm, at the outer end of which the grill member is secured. Three support legs extend laterally from the lower end of the upright post, two of which are pivotable to enable positioning the legs in a radially spread apart configuration that will support the grill member at the outer end of the laterally extending arm over the fire in a fireplace. A vertical height adjusting mechanism is provided to adjust the height of the grill member over the fire.

  • Patent number: 7005027
Abstract: A method of manufacturing reinforced tags using a press is disclosed which includes providing a continuously moving web of tag material. A web of reinforcing material is also provided and die cut into reinforcing patches. The reinforcing material has a pressure sensitive adhesive thereon. A first portion of the patches is adhered to a first major surface of the continuously moving web of tag material so it extends beyond said first major surface. A second portion of the patches is contacted with a stationary curved surface which folds the patches as they move along the folder so that the second portion is folded around an edge of the tag material and adheres to a second major surface of the web of tag material. A hole is then cut in each tag unit at a location such that it extends through the patch at a point where it is adhered to two major surfaces of each tag unit. The web of tag material is then cut into the individual tag units.

Abstract: An end member for a container having a circumferential sidewall, the end member having a peripheral seaming edge adapted to be integrally connected to the sidewall, and having a central panel wall with a means for opening a frangible panel segment of the panel wall is claimed. The end member comprises a deboss panel recessed in the central panel. The deboss panel has first and second spaced apart end portions joined by first and second sidewalls. The first spaced apart end portion has an apex and first and second arcuate portions. A distance between the first and second arcuate portions is defined by a plurality of progressively increasing secant lengths located in spaced relation from the apex. A score groove is located within the deboss panel defining an outer perimeter of the frangible panel segment. The score groove has a first end and a second end joined to the first end by a curvilinear segment. The first end and the second end are separated by a generally linear hinge segment of the central panel wall.

  • Patent number: 6999182
Abstract: A system for characterizing an aspheric surface with respect to an expected shape thereof, comprising a light source to emit light of desirable properties. A ferrofluid deformable mirror apparatus has a reflective surface being controllably deformable. The reflective surface is shaped as a function of the expected shape so as to reflect light in a known path toward a detector. Optical elements project light from the light source onto the aspheric surface such that light is reflected along an expected path if the aspheric surface has the expected shape. Light is reflected from the aspheric surface along an actual path. The optical elements project light on the reflective surface of the ferrofluid deformable apparatus such that light is reflected along the known path. A detector receives light reflected along at least one of the actual path and the known path to obtain an interference pattern as a function of the expected path.
