  • Patent number: 5266063
Abstract: The present invention is a spinning light device. The device primarily consists of a metallic battery case, a hard wire coil, and a number of insulated wires, light bulb sockets, and light bulbs. When the device is turned on by means of a switch, the user simply grasps the device by the metallic battery case and whirls the attached lights about in circular or other motions. The effect is to produce a trail of light behind the moving light bulb or bulbs. A sparkling effect may be added to the whirling of the illuminated device by attaching either a tinsel wrap or another reflective material to the hard wire coil.

  • Patent number: 5257743
Abstract: A quarry pulverizer for use as a reduction process machine for rocks and mineral bearing ores is provided for use. The purpose of the quarry pulverizer is to enhance the ability to meet product grading requirements without adding cost or time to the operation, to reduce maintenance costs associated with these types of machines, to increase feeding capacity, to demonstrate how a centrifugal reduction machine can eliminate wear to its central rotor, and to present a pulverizer with an overall modular design that can be tailored to meet a customer's needs. The invention also introduces the concept of how a static impact area may be changed into a dynamic impact area and subsequently increase reduction efficiency. A quarry pulverizer is provided to act as a reduction process machine for rocks or mineral bearing ores.

  • Patent number: 5203518
Abstract: A creel adapter is provided for the securing of yarn spooled on parallel and tapered type yarn package tubes which are to be placed into position for further processing in the carpet industry. The entire device rests on a base plate which contains a hole suitable for a passing shaft, thus connecting the device to existing machinery. The adapter consists of a rear hub with six heavy ribs which secure parallel type tube yarn packages. The rounded ends of the ribs allow badly damaged parallel type tube ends to pass over and slide to the rear flange of the base plate. Tapered type tube yarn packages are positioned so that the larger end of the tube rests centered on the base of a conical portion of the creel adapter hub, while a circumference on the inner diameter of the upper portion of the cone rests tangent with the outer diameter of the top of a protruding tube on the adapter device.

  • Patent number: 5123584
Abstract: A two-pointed nail driver system is provided for joining materials, such as planks together. The system consists of a column or sleeve used as a hammer. This column or sleeve is provided with a bore extending longitudinally lengthwise from one end of the column or sleeve but terminating short of the opposite end of the column or sleeve. A plunger element is positioned in the bore and its length extends beyond the bore and externally of the column and/or sleeve. At least one aperture is provided in the plunger element and extends lengthwise and longitudinally thereof. This aperture is arranged to receive one end of a two pointed nail having a head intermediate the ends of the two pointed nail and adjacent to the opening of the aperture. When the two-pointed nail is properly positioned, the column or sleeve can be used to strike the plunger to drive one end of the nail into a first member which is to be joined to a second member, such as planks.

  • Patent number: 5109322
Abstract: A safety beacon acting as a portable and self contained strobe light is provided for use in fire fighting and rescue operations. The purpose of the safety beacon is to enhance security and minimize the disorientation caused by darkness, smoke, or fog in a fire fighting, rescue, or underwater operation. The safety beacon is composed of a heat, chemical, water, and impact resistant casing which is joined to a lexan covered xenon strobe light. The safety beacon is activated by an insulated switch which draws power from a nine volt battery kept within an insulated housing. The safety beacon may be instantly attached to a ferrous surface by means of a magnet, suspended on a garment or other cloth substance by means of a velcro pad, and pierced into and fixed on to drywall by means of a spike attachment. A knurled wedge design allows the safety beacon to hold doors open for firefighters or to be inserted into the ground to mark position for an aerial landing.

  • Patent number: 5080441
Abstract: An airline safety seat is provided having a lap bolster for use adjacent a minor, such as a child. A retractor system consisting of two tension straps are connected to a male buckle adapter so that they may be pulled at the same rate as they pass over the head of a user and then buckled between the legs of the user. The tension straps are designed so that they may be fully extended without tension pull to engage a snapping pull so that they may retract and encompass a user thereof. These tension straps are connected to inertial rollers or reels mounted inside the lap bolster. The rollers or reels are suitably mounted. A buckle system is retracted into the lap bolster by the two inertial rollers or wheels. A male adapter system is pulled over the user's head and down the back to be buckled between the legs of the user to meet a female attachment. The female attachment extends approximately one inch out of the lap bolster.

  • Patent number: 5070947
Abstract: An air cushion mount system is provided between a backhoe system and a vibrator-compactor system for tampering material in a trench which is being filled. This air cushion mount consists of a tire having a wheel rim positioned on the inside rim of a steel pipe having an annular peripheral flange. A flange plate is coupled to the annular peripheral flange of the steel pipe so that the tire can be placed in operative condition or removed from operative condition. The elements of the backhoe are coupled to flanges fixed to the wheel hub. The cushion air mount is coupled by a plate member to the vibrator, and the latter in turn is affixed to a compactor for tampering material in a trench being filled with the same.
