Abstract: A gift card presenter includes a base portion folded along a fold line and having an inner and outer surface. A support portion is folded along a fold line and includes opposite ends on either side of the support portion fold line, which are secured to the inner surface of the base portion on opposite sides of the base portion fold line. The support portion defines an opening adapted to receive and support a card, which travels through the opening until it engages the base portion. The unfolding of the base portion causes the support portion to unfold and move toward the base portion, which forces the card back through the opening and outward from the support portion, thus creating a pop-up effect.
Abstract: A facility for treating solid and liquid waste includes a receiving station, a screening station, a preprocessing station, an alkali mixing station, a press station and a processing station. The screening station is connected to an inlet capable of receiving liquid and solid waste and includes a screen for capturing at least some of the solid waste. The preprocessing station is in fluid communication with the screening station, and includes a degrit chamber for settling out an additional amount of the solids. The alkali mixing station includes an alkali for mixing with the waste to stabilize the waste at a predetermined pH level. The press station receives the stabilized waste and includes a press for separating out an additional portion of the solids. The processing station includes at least one aerobic microorganism generating unit for converting nitrites into nitrogen gas and consuming carbon-based waste material.
Abstract: Wireless power receiving apparatus (150) is retrofitted to a portable electrical device (100) to enable the device to receive power wirelessly. The apparatus comprises a power-receiving element (200) adapted to be attached to the device, e.g. by adhesive (201), and also being adapted to receive power wirelessly from a transmitter of power when the element and transmitter are in proximity with one another. One or more power connectors (203) are connected electrically to the power-receiving element and are adapted to be connected, when the apparatus is in use, to one or more corresponding power connectors (101) of the portable electrical device to deliver power received by the element to the device. The power-receiving element may be in the form of a sticker or may be carried by or incorporated in a replacement cover portion for the portable electrical device.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a lighted archery nock. The lighted archery nock generally includes an accelerometer, a replaceable battery, a light, a housing, and a microprocessor that controls illumination of the light. The microprocessor can control the timing of the light to save battery life and respond to user input transmitted by tapping the nock to re-set the light. The housing is configured with a plurality of fingers that interact with the replaceable battery to hold it in place.

Abstract: A clamshell package for supporting an article is provided including a covered manufacturing hinge adapted to divide the clamshell into first and second parts adapted to form a cavity. The first and second parts partially overlap to form a flange adjacent the manufacturing hinge. The second part includes an uncovered operating hinge, about which the second part is adapted to pivot away from the first part to an open position. The clamshell package includes a panel adapted to engage the manufacturing hinge and flange to retain the manufacturing hinge in a folded position, with the panel being spaced from the operating hinge.

Abstract: A lacrosse stick including a lacrosse head attached to a handle, wherein the lacrosse head has a taller, or thicker, ball stop, wherein a portion of the ball stop portion is lowered with respect to the immediately adjacent portions of the sidewall portions relative to a centerline of the handle. The net securing structures in the ball stop are preferably located in the lowered portion and therein provides increased ball retention characteristics. The lower portion of the ball stop portion includes a concave inner surface that is preferably flared, or sloped, slightly outwardly along its interior surface from its front side to its back side. The openings for attaching the netting in the ball stop are preferably slightly recessed with respect to the upper surface.

Abstract: An archery release including a release head, a moveable hook, and an adjustable jaw. The adjustable jaw can be moved relative to the hook to adjust a gap defined between the hook and the adjustable jaw when the hook is in a closed position to capture a bowstring. Optionally, the jaw can be completely removed from the release head to render the release a hook-only release. The jaw can include a free end separated from the release head by a distance. An adjustment element can be joined with the jaw, and operable in at least one of an adjustment mode to change the distance of the free end from the release head, and a removal mode to render the jaw completely removable from the release head. A method also is provided for modifying the archery release to suit an archer's preferences.
Abstract: An air treatment system includes features for maximizing efficiency and effectiveness. In one embodiment, a sensor air passage utilizes a low pressure region created by the blower to draw air through the passage. In another embodiment, a filter frame includes a plurality of connectors formed integrally with the filter frame. In another embodiment, a screen is positioned adjacent to the blower intake. The screen includes a plurality of angled strands oriented in a particular direction. In another embodiment, a remote control holder is formed integrally with the housing. In another embodiment, a gasket is positioned between the blower and the housing, forming a seal between the blower and the housing.
Abstract: A one-piece, unitary manhole cover has dual lifting ports that drain through the outer circumferential edge of the cover. A lifting channel runs from the interior of the upper face out to the outer circumferential edge. A lifting bar spans the lifting channel and defines an ergo lifting port and a pry bar lifting port. Both the ergo lifting port and the pry bar lifting port drain through the outer circumference of the manhole cover.

Abstract: A tiered seating system includes a series of tiers each including a block pair, a riser, brackets securing the riser to the block pair, and concrete. The block pair includes a lower block and an upper block. The riser is spaced from the front surface of the block pair. The system includes two rows of brackets. The first row is secured between the upper block and the lower block, and is secured to the riser between the bottom and the top of the riser. The second row is secured only to the upper block, and is secured to the top of the riser. The concrete fills the gap between the riser and the blocks and form a layer over the upper block.
Abstract: A lacrosse head includes a ball stop having a bottom and side regions that transition at transition regions to head sidewalls, which are joined with a scoop of the head. The ball stop can include a longitudinal axis that extends toward the scoop. The transition regions can be located on a horizontal axis generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. At a distance less than or equal to 1.25 inches from the bottom along the longitudinal axis, opposing side regions and/or sidewalls are separated by a minimum width of 3 inches from the bottom. This construction provides a generally v-shaped ball stop that complies with proposed 2010 NCAA Lacrosse Rules regarding the dimensional requirements for a lacrosse head, while providing improved ball retention within the lacrosse head.
Abstract: A protective sports glove includes a free-floating subcuff for increased protection of a wearer's forearm and wrist. The glove also includes die cuts in the back portion that are configured to provide increased and more realistic flexibility. The glove also has increased ventilation for a wearer's hand in the form of mesh areas located within the palm portion and within die cuts formed in the back portion of the glove The protective sports glove further includes a multiple piece cuff for increased flexibility and a ventilated liner that provides a secure fit during play.
Abstract: A protector for protecting a wearer is disclosed herein. The protector includes a protection element extending along an axis between first and second ends. The protection element has an inner surface for at least partially contacting a wearer, an outer surface opposite the inner surface, and an outer edge. The protector also includes at least one elastic band arrangement connected to the outer edge at two places and overlaying the inner surface and being operable to allow at least a portion of the wearer to be received between the at least one elastic band and the inner surface. The protector also includes at least one friction element coupled to the inner surface and discreet from the at least one elastic band. The at least one friction element defines a greater coefficient of friction than the inner surface and is thereby more operable to minimize movement of the protection element relative to the wearer than the inner surface.
