Abstract: A pole mounted self contained solar powered strobe light utilizing ultra violet rays from the sun and moon for charging its batteries and employing a cylindrical housing open at one end for fitting over the top of a vertically mounted pole. Batteries are insertable in the other end of the housing which are covered by a cap for closing this end of the housing. The cap has mounted on it a strobe light connected to the batteries and covered by a transparent magnifying lens.
Abstract: A passive solar ray lighting fixture supported above a roof of a building and extending coaxially within a building light well, a solar ray illuminator in combination with a coaxially arranged air conditioning duct for use in combination with an air conditioning system.
Abstract: A water treatment device comprising a slow sand filter in fluid flow combination with a nanofilter for water pretreatment purposes. The nanofilter is surrounded by a housing spacedly arranged thereto which housing is capped at each end and axially aligned with and connected to a T-shaped pipe fitting at each end thereof. A pipe is arranged to extend axially through the T-shaped fittings, the caps and the nanofilter which pipe is apertured along that portion thereof in said nanofilter. Water fed from the slow sand filter into one T-shaped fitting is directed inwardly and laterally through the nanofilter with the purified water flowing through the apertures of the pipe with a discarded portion of the water being conducted through the second T-shaped pipe fittings out of the device for disposal purposes.
Abstract: A device for preventing kinks in a cable extending around an edge of a load to be lifted by a hoisting mechanism comprising a U-shaped member for fitting over the edge of the load and having an arcuate outer surface for guiding the cable therearound and a pair of C-shaped flanges mounted on each end of said device for maintaining the cable on the arcuate surface.
Abstract: A folding trestle having a movable horizontal work surface spring biased into engagement with the top edges of a skirt. A pair of legs are mounted at each end of the skirt which force the work surface of the trestle away from the top edge of the skirt when the legs are movable to and from their extended and folded positions.
Abstract: An animal and fowl feed supplement and method of manufacture wherein whole slaughterhouse blood is coagulated and centrifuged to provide a blood meal and a resulting liquid serum wherein the blood is blended and treated with the resulting liquid serum and acid to control its pH rating and this blended blood concentrate is then mixed with diatomaceous earth in a given ratio to provide the food supplement.
Abstract: A cube that bounces and rebounds as a spherical ball comprising a spherical ball of a relatively high density material forming the center of the cube and a body of relatively low density material surrounding the spherical ball to form a cubical configuration whereby the low density material buckles under impact causing the cube's spherical ball to react to the impact and respond as a ball.
Abstract: A hand held book holder comprising an elongated trough like frame for supporting the open pages of a book and having an elongated handle extending axially therefrom. A rod is arranged to extend longitudinally of the frame for engaging the book along its binding to hold it in the trough with one end of the rod being detachably connected to the free end of the trough and the other end of the rod attached to the handle. A pressure plate is mounted on the handle to engage and hold a common edge of the open pages of the book and is biased into the pages by the other end of the rod and/or a suitable spring means.
Abstract: A platform for supporting a movable storage building employing a pair of parallely and spacedly positioned rails between which are supported a plurality of laterally extending floor joists. The rails each provide a U-shaped channel for receiving the ends of the floor joists and a pair of spacedly positioned openings which expose channels juxtapositioned to and parallel with the floor joists for receiving the prongs of a forklift mechanism.
Abstract: A solid rectangular clamp having a aperture extending laterally therethrough for receiving a battery post and a U-shaped member the legs of which are pivotally mounted within indentations in the sides of said clamp one on each side thereof. A bolt is threadedly mounted to extend through the bight of the U-shaped member and through a further aperture in one end of the clamp until it engages and holds the battery post in the clamp. When withdrawn the bolt releases the battery post and when the U-shaped member is pivotally movable over the aperture which receives the battery post and is turned to penetrate this aperture to engage the battery post, it forces the clamp off of the battery post.
Abstract: An electrolytic chlorine generator for chlorinating a body of water employing a container for housing salt brine and having an anode chamber, an open ended cathode chamber mounted to the anode chamber, and a membrane material which divides the anode chamber from the cathode chamber and means for conducting a part of the flowing water from the main body of water to the cell for chlorination purposes.
Abstract: A life-saving device for protection against drowning, the device incorporating buoyancy apparatus for holding the potential drowning victim and an attached transmitter above water. A receiver and alarm device converts the signal from the transmitter into audio and visual alarms which summon help.
Abstract: A protective device for locking two relatively movable objects of a cargo container in a fixed relationship employing a longitudinal bar mechanism pivotally mounted on one of said objects for cooperatively engaging with a pair of keepers mounted on the other of said objects for locking the objects together and a first rod assembly pivotally connected to one end of the bar mechanism and a handle at its other end with the rod moving longitudinally into engagement with one of the keepers. A housing is mounted around the rod assembly through which the rod is movable and defines a recess which exposes a predetermined portion of the length of the rod assembly. An aperture is formed in the predetermined portion of the rod assembly through which a shackle or padlock may be placed to lock the protective device.
Abstract: There is disclosed an antiseptic polish for covering highly touched surfaces which contain a solution comprising Povidone-Iodine of approximately 7.5 to 10 percent by volume dispersed in a liquid polish.
Abstract: A massaging machine employing a rack for supporting a horizontal track over which motor driven pivotally mounted sprocket is moved. The sprocket drives a trolley which trolley supporting a roller mechanism which follows the contour of a user lying prone on a table supporting the rack on one side thereof. The trolley is returned to a motor drive position under the action of a weighted cable when the sprocket is pivotally moved away from the track at the end of a motor driven massage activity.
Abstract: An electrically driven brake controlled skateboard employing an electric motor and associated battery mounted on the bottom of its foot supporting board employs a pulley arrangement whereby the initial slipping of its belt acts as a clutch for transferring rotational power from the motor to a U-grooved drive wheel of the skateboard. The U-groove is low cut so that the drive belt is partially exposed to the road surface. A dual purpose tether mounted brake control and on/off switch is used to control the braking of the skateboard and the energization of the drive motor.
