Abstract: In this process, cyclic polyimino ethers with a .DELTA..sup.2 -oxazoline or .DELTA..sup.2 -5,6-dihydro-4H-1,3-oxazine structure are polymerized by heating them alone or together with cyclic monoimino ethers of the same type, or with lactones, plus cationic polymerization catalysts. The new polymers are suitable for use as raw materials, foil materials, molding materials and hot-setting adhesives.
Abstract: The invention is a process for preparing an aqueous dispersion of a metal soap by reacting a metal oxide or hydroxide with an organic acid in the presence of a dispersing agent in a media mill.
Abstract: In the process disclosed, medical molding materials are treated with an aqueous solution of a disinfectant which contains, in addition, 0.1 to 15 wt.% of a soluble alcohol. This ensures high dimensional stability and good surface quality of the mold, even in the case of critical molding materials as alginates.

Abstract: A process for the production of solid or paste-form products by fast reactions is carried out stoichiometrically wherein a gaseous medium is introduced into each of the reactants to be reacted with one another, the reactant streams formed are combined and are subsequently forced through a spray unit in a weight ratio of gaseous medium to product stream of from 0.04 to 0.3 (kg/kg) and at a rate of 0.1 to 15 m/second, as calculated from the gas-free reactant streams and based on the free cross-section of the spray unit. The products obtained are free from readily volatile constituents.

Abstract: The invention concerns a process for the continuation granulation of a mixture containing at least one solid material and at least one liquid exhibiting a tendency to gel formation. In order to make it possible to work with a gel-like intermediate phase and yet continue to granulate, it is proposed that a mixture containing liquid raw materials which, by themselves, do not show any tendency to gel be used as the liquid exhibiting a tendency to gel, this mixture being produced in a static mixer, its average dwell time in the mixer being shorter than the gel time. The liquid is subsequently allowed to gel in a stirrer vessel, the dwell time in the stirrer vessel being longer than the gel time. Only then is the highly viscous mass thus obtained granulated together with the solid material.
Abstract: A separator for regenerating used emulsions from cooling lubricants or cleaning solutions, for example, includes a discharge pipe for discharging the regenerated emulsion. The time between two sediment clearance processes is increased without adversely affecting the quality of the regenerated emulsion from the separator by including a fine filter arranged in the discharge pipe to retain residual solids. A measuring device for measuring the pressure difference between the inlet port and the outlet port of the fine filter generates a signal whenever a predetermined pressure difference is exceeded. The fineness filter and the predetermined pressure difference correspond to a predetermined emulsion quality.
Abstract: A process for the continuous production of fatty acid soaps by reaction with solid metal oxides, hydroxides, hydrogen carbonates and carbonates of Mg, Ca, Ba, Pb, Al, Zn, Co, Fe, Cd and Zr, in which the fatty acids are subjected to a rotational movement by mechanical transport and the metal compounds are subjected to rotation in the opposite direction by mechanical transport, the two reactants are combined in the reaction zone of a tube reactor and are reacted in 0.5 to 50 seconds.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of 3-acyl-5-alkyldihydro-2(3H)-furanones according to the following reaction scheme: ##STR1## wherein R and R.sub.1 are hydrogen or alkyl and R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbon or -O-hydrocarbon radical of from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and X is a leaving group.
Abstract: Toothpastes which contain 10-60 wt. % of polishing agents, 2-20 wt. % of humectants, 0.5-5 wt. % of water-soluble consistency regulators and 0.05-0.5 wt. % of antimicrobial biguanides, as well as 1-5 wt. % of other additives from the group of surface-active substances, aromatic oils, and sweeteners, have a particularly high biguanide availability if the polishing agent consists mainly of calcium carbonate, the consistency regulators are non-ionic polysaccharide derivatives and the surface-active substances are cationic surfactants with a linear alkyl group containing 12-18 carbon atoms and one or two tertiary amino groups or quaternary ammonium groups. Optionally a non-ionogenic solubilizer for the aromatic oil may also be present in the toothpastes.

Abstract: The process of preparing granules of sodium perborate monohydrate having an increased density by dry-compacting a mixture of sodium perborate monohydrate and from about 0.2 to about 30% by weight of a compacting aid, based on the weight of the mixture. The compacting aid is selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt, alkaline earth metal salt, carbohydrate, anionic surfactant, and nonionic surfactant. After forming a compactate of the mixture, the compactate is size-reduced to obtain granules having the desired particle size.
