  • Patent number: 7281364
Abstract: A mobile harvesting apparatus and method utilizes a stream of liquid, propelled under high pressure through at least one nozzle, to harvest produce. Preferably, a plurality of nozzles is provided. Additionally, it is preferred that, for each nozzle provided, there is an associated diverter plate. With this configuration, a stream of liquid exiting a nozzle will, after harvesting an item of produce, strike its associated diverter plate.

  • Patent number: 7272994
Abstract: A grasping device comprises a grasping member springably connected to a handle member. When the grasping member is withdrawn from the handle member, plier arms on the grasping member open so that an object to be grasped may be positioned therebetween. When the grasping member is permitted to be pulled by the spring back into the handle member, the plier arms close about the object, grasping it securely.

  • Patent number: 7272935
Abstract: A device for forming ice around an exterior surface of a container has an upper piece. The upper piece is an elongated tubular member having a hollow interior section and an open bottom and top end. A gasket assembly is coupled to an upper interior section of the upper piece. The gasket assembly creates a seal around a neck of the container to prevent water from rising above the neck of the container. A lower piece is provided and has an open top end and an opening formed in the bottom surface thereof. The open bottom end of the upper piece will mate with the open top end of the lower piece to form a watertight seal. A raised floor is formed in a bottom interior section of the lower piece. The raised floor allows water to collect and freeze underneath the bottom of the container. A cap is provided to close the opening in the bottom surface of the lower piece.

  • Patent number: 7270006
Abstract: A sound level monitor device has a microphone. A sound level measurement circuit is coupled to the microphone. The sound level measurement circuit takes sound signals monitored by the microphone and converts the sound signals to digital signals. A display is coupled to the sound level measurement circuit. The display will show the different measurement signal values. A single control button is coupled to the sound level measurement circuit. Pressing the control button a first time activates the sound level measurement circuit so a current measurement signal value is shown on the display. Pressing the single control button a second time causes a highest recorded measurement signal value, since the sound level measuring device has been presently activated, to be shown on the display. The highest recorded measurement signal value remains on the display until a higher recorded measurement signal is monitored.

  • Patent number: 7264849
Abstract: A chemical vapor deposition method includes a step of maintaining a hydrogen plasma at low pressure in a processing chamber. The processing chamber has a long, wide, thin geometry to favor deposition of thin-film silicon on sheet substrates over the chamber walls. The sheet substrates are moved through between ends. A pair of opposing radio frequency electrodes above and below the workpieces are electrically driven hard to generate a flat, pancaked plasma cloud in the middle spaces of the processing chamber. A collinear series of gas injector jets pointed slightly up on a silane-jet manifold introduce 100% silane gas at high velocity from the side in order to roll the plasma cloud in a coaxial vortex. A second such silane-jet manifold is placed on the opposite side and pointed slightly down to further help roll the plasma and maintain a narrow band of silane concentration.

  • Patent number: 7257855
Abstract: A side window washing device has a washing unit positioned on each side of the side window and coupled to an interior section of a door frame of the vehicle. The washing unit is capable of dispensing a liquid and moving to clean the side window. A driving unit is coupled to the washing unit. The driving unit is used for dispensing the liquid through the washing unit and for moving the washing unit. A drying unit is positioned above each washing unit and coupled to the interior section of a door frame. The drying unit is used for removing any liquid remaining on the side window.

  • Patent number: 7258129
Abstract: A landscaping watering system has a probe for monitoring a moisture content of an area. A control unit is coupled to the probe for sending an activation signal to activate a flow of water when a signal from the probe indicates the moisture content of the area is below a predefined level. The control unit sends a deactivation signal to stop a flow of water when a signal from the probe indicates the moisture content of the area is above a predefined level. A water solenoid valve is coupled to a water line, the control unit and to at least one sprinkler. The water solenoid valve will receive the activation and deactivation signals from the control unit to start and stop a flow of water from the water line to the at least one sprinkler.

  • Patent number: 7252121
Abstract: A urine disposing apparatus and method utilizes a cart-like structure to permit a bed-ridden patient to utilize a single urinal for multiple urinations. Following each use, the contents of the urinal are poured into a director, from which they empty into a receptacle located within the disposing apparatus. The empty urinal may then be re-used and emptied as needed. After a period of use, a caregiver may remove the receptacle, clean the component portions of the apparatus as required, and re-position the apparatus and empty urinal for use by the patient.
