  • Patent number: 6804859
Abstract: A securing device includes a body adapted to securely connect to the primary plate and two arms vertically extending out from two opposite ends of the body. Each of the arms has an assembly hole to adapt to align with opposite ends of a tubular connector of the primary plate so that when the shaft extends into the tubular tube, the two arms are secured to the shaft. When a radial force is acting on the shaft, the force is compromised by the two arms of the securing device such that damping of the screen is minimized.

  • Patent number: 6803679
Abstract: A parallel redundant power system and a method for control the same, wherein the power system is composed by UPS modules with outputs coupled in parallel to supply power to a load through a bus. The control method employs the P−&ohgr; and Q−V slope lines of the droop method to perform phase locking and current sharing. Moreover, the method further utilizes the internal impedance of the UPS in accompaniment with a current shift method to simulate an actual inductor being coupled to the output of the UPS module so as to satisfy the droop method. Therefore, the drawbacks otherwise caused from actual inductors such as the large size and heave weight are eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6787013
Abstract: A spacer forming method for a biosensor that has a biosensor possessing a capillary sampling channel and electrical connecting tracks for the use of a specific portable meter. A pair of electrodes is printed on an insulating base plate to be the transducer of the electrochemical biosensor by means of the screen-printing technology. The advanced thick-film printing technology is employed to construct the spacer component of the sampling channel that precisely controls the volume of a sample solution. Therefore, the spacer forming method reduces the usage of adhesive that otherwise causes a serious problem during a continuous punching procedure. Furthermore, the embedded switch pad on the biosensor is introduced to be instead of a micro switch in a connector of the portable meter.

  • Patent number: 6777309
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to transfer thin film devices such as integrated semiconductor and optical components from a first substrate onto a second substrate through a thermal process at high temperature, without degradation of device performance. Other devices can be fabricated thereafter on the other side of the second substrate. Since the semiconductor and optical components can be transferred onto the second substrate in a single-step thermal process, in comparison with prior art the number of transfer substrates needed in the fabrication process can be effectively reduced, thus simplifying the fabrication process and realizing cost reduction.
