Abstract: A game controller has a pad having two sets of buttons provided thereon and a control unit assembled therein. A monitor is pivotally mounted on the pad. A sounder is assembled inside the pad. The buttons, the monitor and the sounder are electrically connected with a game host via the control unit and an interface. Whereby, the monitor displays a game video and a user can play video games without a TV set.
Abstract: A PLL device has a voltage-controlled oscillator, a reference generator that generates reference signals with different phases, and a main divider that divides the frequency of the output signal of the voltage-controlled oscillator by a frequency-division ratio N1. An auxiliary divider divides the frequency of the output of the main divider by a frequency-division ratio N2. A distribution circuit distributes the output of the auxiliary divider as feedback signals. Phase detectors compare the reference signals and the feedback signals, and generate error signals. Each of the main divider and the auxiliary divider has a programmable divider or a counter. The main divider and the auxiliary divider are both operative during start-up to shorten PLL lock-up time, and the auxiliary divider then powers down to reduce power consumption.

Abstract: A beach chair with a sunshade in accordance with the present invention consists of a chair (10), a sunshade (20) and a securing device (30) mounted between the chair (10) and the sunshade (20). The securing device (30) comprises a toothed ring (31) mounted on the chair (10), a locking collar (32) rotatably mounted around the toothed ring (31), a locking block (33) rotatably secured inside the locking collar (32) and a ratchet wheel (34) holding the sunshade (20) and rotatably mounted on the locking collar (32). The sunshade (20) can be moved in two directions by operationally rotating the ratchet wheel (34) relative to the locking collar (32) and rotating the locking collar (32) round the toothed ring (31) to achieve an optimum inclination position for shading. Additionally, the sunshade (20) can be folded against the chair (10) so the beach chair can be easily carried.
Abstract: A windshield wiper protector includes a protection actuating assembly connected to the wiper and a stationary lifting arm attached to the windshield. A roller is pivotally mounted on the top of the stationary lifting arm and an inclined drive plate is attached to the protection actuating assembly. The protection actuating assembly and the wiper will be lifted up when the wiper is moved to the original position due to the inclined drive plate.
Abstract: A latch assembly has a casing, a housing, a latch bolt, a slide, a connecting member, a lever holder, a lever and an adjusting pin. A slot is longitudinally defined in the housing. Two detents are respectively defined in opposite ends of the slot. The slide is connected to the fixed member with the connecting member that engages one of the notches in the fixed member. A notch is defined in the bottom of the slide. A biasing member is arranged between the slide and the connecting member to provide a biasing force to the connecting member to engage the fixed member. The adjusting pin extends through one of the detents, aligns with the notch in the slide and abuts the bottom of the connecting member. With such an arrangement, only one hand is needed to adjust the latch assembly.
Abstract: A PLL circuit produces first to n-th (n being an integer equal to or greater than 2) reference signals. A first variable frequency divider divides the frequency of an output of a voltage-controlled oscillator to produce a first feedback signal. A second variable frequency divider divides the output of the voltage-controlled oscillator to produce second to n-th feedback signals. A phase comparator compares the phases of the first to the n-th reference signals with the phases of the first to the n-th feedback signals to produce first to n-th error signals. A controller produces a control signal from the error signals. The PLL circuit synchronizes the first reference signal with the first feedback signal in phase after the phase difference between at least one of the first to n-th reference signals and a corresponding feedback signal becomes smaller than a predetermined value. The frequency-division ratio of the second variable frequency divider is 1/n that of the first variable frequency divider.

Abstract: A heat sink fastener is applied to fasten a heat sink contacted with an electrical element mounted on a substrate. The heat sink fastener has a pillar integrally formed by an upper segment and a lower segment that further has an arrowhead hook, a coil spring winded around the pillar, and a cannular column with two openings for receiving the pillar. A step is formed around the first opening defined at one end of the column, and the second opening is defined at the other end of the column to allow the lower segment and the hook to pass through. When heat sink fastener is applied to fasten the heat sink to the substrate, the column is pressed downward to the heat sink, and the hook is inserted through the heat sink and the substrate to be tightly and upwardly pressed against the bottom of the substrate.
Abstract: A smoke cooker with a chimney has a base, a cover detachably connected with the base, a chimney detachably connected with the cover and a lid assembly mountable on the chimney. The smoke cooker is able to be separated into an oven portion and a chimney portion so as to function differently. When the oven and the chimney portions are assembled, the smoke cooker is able to be used to roast food or cure food with smoke.
Abstract: A strap tightener includes a limit nub extending outward from each of the wing plates of the seat. An indent is defined in each of the cams of the side plates to correspond to the limit nub and receive the limit nub when releasing the strap to lock the lever and the seat together to reduce the shearing force between the lever and the seat and the pivot pin. Consequently, the pivot holes in the seat and the lever do not wear as much and maintain good concentricity.
Abstract: An optical fiber connector includes a head lid, a connection head, an interior tube, and an exterior tube combined with each other to enclose an end of an optical fiber. The optical fiber connector in accordance with the present invention includes only a few components. In addition, each component of the optical fiber connector is simple. Accordingly, such an optical fiber connector is easily manufactured, and the manufacture cost is low.
