  • Patent number: 4033212
Abstract: A method of severing a veneer sheet comprising feeding a veneer sheet, sensing an irregularity or a predetermined length of said veneer sheet and actuating, in accordance with the sensing of the irregularity or the predetermined length of the veneer sheet, a cutter member pivotally disposed and having an edge portion adapted to work on the side of the fed-in veneer sheet during the pivotal movement of the cutter member. Severing can be done without stopping feeding of a veneer sheet and the arrangement of said cutter member realizes dividing of a feed-out passage of the veneer sheet into two different directions.

  • Patent number: 4033517
Abstract: A device for granulating thin-walled plastic material into plastic granulated material. The device is composed of a rotating tool which is arranged closely above the bottom of a container. The tool produces frictional heat when moved relative to the material in the container. More specifically, the tool has at least two rotatable shafts, both of which are equipped with beaters thereon. The peripheral circles described by the outer ends of the beaters come close together or are overlapped, and, when in the overlapped condition, are vertically offset from one another.

  • Patent number: 4030209
Abstract: A molecular model has a center made up from two relatively pivotal parts which are angularly movable between predetermined angular positions. The parts are relatively unstable when not in such angular positions. Atomic valency bonds in the form of elongate flexible members extend from the pivotal parts and have at their free ends couplings which engage another like coupling of another flexible member or another center part. The couplings are identical and each comprises both a projection and a socket or in one embodiment a magnet presenting at an end surface, both a North and a South pole.

  • Patent number: 4031480
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the ungrounded transmission of signals through testing points in communication systems with the aid of high-frequency oscillations. The high-frequency oscillations are controlled on the one side of the testing point and are rectified on the other side of the testing point. The rectified signals are utilized to reproduce the signals again. A resonant circuit is adjusted to the high-frequency oscillations and is galvanically separately coupled to a high-frequency generator. The resonant circuit is also connected to a modulation circuit and to the input of the testing point. The resonant circuit is coupled inductively to a demodulation circuit which forms the output of the testing point.

  • Patent number: RE29265
Abstract: Plastic molding machine, primarily adapted for generating and molding a closed-cell foam plastic material. The foam is generated by introducing a gas inert to the plastic material into a granular mixture of same so that the gas is thoroughly intermixed among the granular particles. The gas is then held under pressure while the granular particles are reduced to a flowable material, said pressure being sufficient to assure that the gas will not be expelled therefrom during the plasticization process. In one preferred embodiment, gas is mixed into the granular plastic in a hopper and held therein under pressure as said granular material is fed into a screw and plasticized thereby. The plastic material is then conducted at a relatively low pressure, such as that generated by the extrusion machine used for plasticizing the material, through a branched system past a check valve in each branch of said system, to an injection assembly.
