  • Patent number: 8247908
Abstract: A circuit substrate and the method for fabricating a packaging of the circuit substrate are provided. A plurality of electrodes are formed on the surface of the circuit substrate, the electrodes are formed with fork structures over an connection section of the circuit substrate, so that when the circuit substrate expands/contracts due to thermal processes, the probability of alignment with electrodes of an external circuit board is increased by easily detaching the fork structure overlapping an electrode of the external circuit board which is not corresponding to the fork structure of the electrode of the circuit substrate, so as to avoid short circuit. Thus, electrode misalignment due to electrode pitch variation of the traditional circuit substrate as a result of thermal deformation can be effectively eliminated.

  • Patent number: 8248167
Abstract: The present invention discloses a continuous voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) frequency temperature compensation apparatus for a phase locked loop (PLL) and a continuous VCO frequency temperature compensation method for a PLL. The system utilizes a VCO with one digital coarse tuning input, a first analog fine tuning input, and a second analog fine tuning input. The system uses the second analog fine tuning inputs to compensate the VCO for frequency shifts due to temperature fluctuation. When the PLL transitions to the fine lock (FL) mode, the system starts driving the second fine tuning input with a differential amplifier. The differential amplifier compares the first fine tuning input with a reference voltage, and drives the second fine tuning input to compensate the first fine tuning input.

  • Patent number: 8238208
Abstract: A method for detecting a typical defect area on a disc track includes the following steps. Firstly, a source signal is provided. Then, first and second signals are generated according to the source signal. The first and second signals are held at the peak level of the source signal and respectively decreased at first and second drop rates. Then, first and second threshold values are subtracted from the first and second signals to generate first and second slice signals, respectively. Afterwards, the source signal is compared with either the first slice signal or the second slice signal. When the first slice signal is larger than the source signal, a typical defect signal is changed from a first level to a second level. Whereas, the typical defect signal is changed from the second level to the first level when the second slice signal is smaller than the source signal.

  • Patent number: 8235729
Abstract: A connector has an insulating housing of which two opposite ends extended frontward to form a pair of supporting arms, terminals mounted in the insulating housing having soldering portions projected out of a bottom of the insulating housing, and a positioning member. The positioning member has a base slice. A rear of a side edge the base slice is extended downward to form a holding slice movably received in a through slot recessed at the supporting arm. A front of the side edge of the base slice is extended downward and then bent perpendicularly to form a soldering slice. As the height between the base slice and the soldering slice is bigger than that of the supporting arm, the positioning member is capable of moving up-and-down to adjust the relative position between the soldering slice and the soldering portions of the terminals.

  • Patent number: 8226346
Abstract: A tray handling apparatus comprises a plurality of guides, a chuck device, a linear movement device, and a rack and pinion device. A space defined by the erected guides is used to hold a tray stack. The chuck of the chuck device is located at the center position of the bottom area of the space. The linear movement device is used to move the chuck relative to the guides. The rack and pinion device is used to cause the guides to move symmetrically. When an operator moves any one of the guides, the other guides move symmetrically and the center of the bottom area of the space surrounded by the guides remains at the same location during the movement of the guides. The operator does not need to adjust the position of the chuck if the positions of the guides are changed.
