Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for assembling together a plurality of pipette tips using a tip collar that will provide structural rigidity to the plurality of pipette tips and the method of incorporating such an apparatus. Such rigidity created by the tip collar apparatus will allow for an innovative method of connecting the plurality of pipette tips to their respective pipettors that will reduce the amount of downward axial force required to impinge the plurality of pipette tips using the traditional connection method.

Abstract: A skateboard deck comprises a top and bottom wood portion, each wood portion having at least one layer of wood. The skateboard deck further comprises a wood core positioned in between the top and bottom wood portions. The wood core has first and second opposed surfaces, at least one of the opposed surfaces having longitudinal grooves forming hollow areas in conjunction with the top and bottom wood portions. Each of the top and bottom wood portions further comprise a crossband layer having grain perpendicular in direction to the longitudinal grooves, each crossband layer being in contact with the wood core.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an apparatus that comprises a spectrometer, and computer and a dual integrating sphere measurement arrangement comprising a measurement integrating sphere, a sample integrating sphere, a sample platform, a filter, a lens system, a baffle and a light source. The sample integrating sphere encloses a sample to provide a constant environment for simulating the visual color grading environment. The computer controls the spectrometer and provides measurement parameters calculated from physical parameters of the measured sample, including, but not limited to, shape, dimensions, refractive index, intensity of fluorescence and cut grade. The computer then calculates spectral reflectance and colorimetric data, and determines an average color grade by checking a look-up-table that represents the relationship between the CIELAB coordinate and the average color grade.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally a platform and multiple box case for housing electronic and acoustical equipment for stationary and transitional operations, and more particularly to offer an apparatus for safely and adjustably providing an upper platform mated to the upper and lower boxes of the multiple box case. Traditional types of cases and racks are suitable for typical audio gears in the DJ field. However, more users of such boxes are using laptop computers and other accessories. Yet, such users are discovering that traditional boxes lack the space for such devices on the typical cases that they are currently utilizing. The present invention provides a solution for the placement of additional gears in a variably slidable platform without taking any more space than in typical DJ boxes.

Abstract: A remote access power (“RAP”) hub for kiosks and information booths with multiple peripherals. The RAP hub provides power at different levels to accommodate different electronic devices and peripherals. The RAP hub also acts as a powered USB hub for connecting multiple USB devices to the devices and peripherals. The RAP hub further has communications functionality so that signals can be transmitted through a network to the hub for controlling the devices and peripherals remotely. The RAP hub is an all-in-one power hub with various power outputs and remote access command. It is designed to support and manage a number of devices and peripherals while avoiding multiple power adapters. A connector block allows the routing of power within multifunction devices, thus eliminating the need for special-ordered wiring harness.
