Abstract: A picture coding and decoding method includes a picture coding method for coding an input picture and a picture decoding method for decoding coded picture data. The picture coding method includes dividing the input picture into blocks, coding the input picture on a block basis, decoding the coded data of each block on a block basis, removing coding distortion in an area disposed on both sides of a block boundary, each block being adaptively decoded either as a field structure block or a frame structure block, and storing the reconstructed picture as a reference picture. The picture decoding method includes decoding the coded picture data to obtain a reconstructed picture, removing coding distortion in an area disposed on both sides of a block boundary, each block being adaptively decoded either as a field structure block or a frame structure block, and storing the reconstructed picture as a reference picture.

Abstract: A picture coding method provides coding an input picture. The method includes dividing the input picture into a plurality of blocks, coding the input picture on a block basis to obtain coded data of each block, and decoding the coded data of each block on a block basis to obtain a reconstructed picture having a plurality of blocks. The method also includes removing coding distortion in an area disposed on both sides of a block boundary between a first block and an adjacent second block in the reconstructed picture having the plurality of blocks. Each block is adaptively decoded either as a field structure block, including only even field pixels or only odd field pixels, or a frame structure block, including odd field pixels and even field pixels. The method further includes storing the reconstructed picture, for which coding distortion is removed, as a reference picture.

  • Patent number: 10562765
Abstract: A novel and useful controlled quantum shift register for transporting particles from one quantum dot to another in a quantum structure. The shift register incorporates a succession of qdots with tunneling paths and control gates. Applying appropriate control signals to the control gates, a particle or a split quantum state is made to travel along the shift register. The shift register also includes ancillary double interaction where two pairs of quantum dots provide an ancillary function where the quantum state of one pair is replicated in the second pair. The shift register also provides bifurcation where an access path is split into two or more paths. Depending on the control pulse signals applied, quantum dots are extended into multiple paths. Control of the shift register is provided by electric control pulses. An optional auxiliary magnetic field provides additional control of the shift register.

Abstract: A method and computing system for prescription drug management program reporting can include receiving laboratory test results corresponding to a patient and being indicative of a toxicology screen of the patient. Controlled substance prescription data for the patient can be retrieved from a prescription drug management program data source and can include prescriptions of controlled substances issued to the patient for a relevant time period. The controlled substance prescription data and the laboratory test results can be analyzed to determine a daily morphine milligram equivalent of the patient for a given time period, an overdose risk score, and a drug consistency assessment. An enhanced toxicology report based on the determined daily morphine milligram equivalent of the patient for the given time period, the overdose risk score, and the drug consistency assessment can be generated output to a requestor computing device.

  • Patent number: 10555804
Abstract: A therapeutic lens for the treatment of an epithelial defect comprises a layer of therapeutic material disposed over the stroma and/or Bowman's membrane to inhibit water flow from the tear liquid to the stroma and/or Bowman's membrane, such that corneal deturgescence can be restored to decrease corneal swelling and light scattering. The layer may cover and protect nerve fibers to decrease pain. The layer may comprise an index of refraction to inhibit light scatter from an anterior surface of the stroma and/or Bowman's membrane. The lens may comprise a curved anterior surface that provides functional vision for the patient when the epithelium regenerates. The layer of therapeutic material can be positioned on the eye in many ways, for example with a spray that is cured to adhere the layer to the exposed surface of the stroma and/or Bowman's membrane.
