  • Patent number: 10132277
Abstract: A vehicle air intake assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a housing, a conical filter, and optionally may also include an inlet cowl. The housing and filter decrease in diameter from an inlet or distal end toward a proximal or outlet end. The shape of the housing guides the air into a smaller cross-sectional area and induces a Venturi effect on the airflow passing through the housing and filter. The housing decouples the filter from an engine inlet and the proximal or outlet end of the housing is sized so as to attach to the engine inlet and provide a smooth transition for the air leaving the housing and entering the engine inlet.

  • Patent number: 10124173
Abstract: One system includes a stimulation device such as a vagus nerve stimulation lead, and a controller for controlling the stimulation device according to a set of stimulation parameters. A memory of the stimulation device contains a state transition model, and for each state defines a set of stimulation parameters and at least one expected response during the application of stimulation with the parameters. A matrix determines the transition rules between states based on physiological levels measured versus target levels. A state transition control unit determines, in an organized timely method, possible transitions between states according to the rules on physiological levels obtained in response to the implementation of the stimulation parameters of the current state, and a transition from a current state to a new state causes a corresponding change in the parameter set used for stimulation.

  • Patent number: 10121077
Abstract: A sequence layer in a machine-learning engine configured to learn from the observations of a computer vision engine. In one embodiment, the machine-learning engine uses the voting experts to segment adaptive resonance theory (ART) network label sequences for different objects observed in a scene. The sequence layer may be configured to observe the ART label sequences and incrementally build, update, and trim, and reorganize an ngram trie for those label sequences. The sequence layer computes the entropies for the nodes in the ngram trie and determines a sliding window length and vote count parameters. Once determined, the sequence layer may segment newly observed sequences to estimate the primitive events observed in the scene as well as issue alerts for inter-sequence and intra-sequence anomalies.
