Abstract: The present invention provides a digital signal processing method and system thereof for producing precision platform orientation measurements and local Earth's magnetic measurements by measuring threes axes gravity acceleration digital signals by an acceleration producer, detecting Earth's magnetic field vector measurement by an Earth's magnetic field detector to achieve digital three-axes Earth's magnetic field vector signals, and producing pitch, roll, and heading angles using said three-axes gravity acceleration digital signals and said digital three-axes Earth magnetic field vector signals by a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chipset.
Abstract: An internet presentation system includes an internet accessible server that permits access to a database of editable and executable presentation files to select users with a specific type of periphery device. The periphery device, or projector, includes a hardware ID used by the server to authenticate the user. The server additionally maintains an administration mode by which select administrators may create and edit template files and color scheme files required, but not editable, by the select users. The server also maintain statistic of the select users and their activities. The administrators use the statistics to target template and color scheme files for deletion and editing.

Abstract: A mechanism having at least a function of measuring an arbitrary elapsed time is provided, which disables the function from being reset after the function is started, and enables the function to be reset after the function is stopped. The function is continuously held in an electrical ON state after being started, except when being normally stopped. This provides a time measurement device and method in which an electrical operating state and a mechanical operating state can coincide.
Abstract: A water-immersed switch which does not conduct electricity in the absence of a dielectric liquid, such as water, and which conducts electricity in the presence of the dielectric liquid. The water-immersed switch includes a modified copolymer containing acrylonitrile and at least one of styrene and/or a conjugated diene, as constituent units, and acidic groups introduced into said modified copolymer, and a plurality of electrically conductive electrodes.
Abstract: A retention mechanism for an electronic assembly which has a substrate and a heat sink. The retention mechanism includes a substrate slot that receives the substrate and a heat sink slot that receives the heat sink. There may be two retention mechanisms that are attached to a printed circuit board adjacent to an electrical connector. There may be two heat sink slots symmetrically located about the substrate slot so that the mechanism can be mounted to a left side or a right side of the connector. The symmetric slots eliminate the need for a left side mechanism and a right side mechanism. The retainer mechanism may also have a nut retainer that captures a nut that is used to attach the mechanism to the printed circuit board. The nut retainer allows the nut to be transported with the retainer mechanism during an assembly process.

Abstract: A glass plate tooling apparatus has independently driven loading and unloading tools which presents raw workpieces to, and removes finished workpieces from a centrally located machining station. The machining station holds the workpiece in a fixed orientation on first and second planes. Machine tools, such as a grinder apparatus and a drill apparatus are independently movable on the first plane to engage with and tool the workpiece. The machining station rotates to provide tool accessibility on a third plane.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for analyzing a process based on displaying data to a user from a plurality of different sources and a machine-readable medium for implementing such a method. The present invention also provides a mapping system and a method for displaying data to a user employing a hierarchy including data nodes and data leaves.

Abstract: A fuel injection system carries out a multi-injection. A preceding injection affects a pressure in a combustion chamber at a succeeding injection. In order to ensure an amount and timing of a succeeding injection, the ECU carries out a compensating process. In one embodiment, an injection period for the succeeding injection is corrected by varying a corrective value in accordance with parameters indicative of a pressure deviation. In another embodiment, each of the injection amounts for preceding and succeeding injections is corrected in accordance with deviations from a standard pressure respectively. The deviation is determined based on an intake pressure.
Abstract: A fluid dynamic bearing has a shaft (11) fitted in a sleeve (12) for rotation, with a fluid filled therebetween. The shaft (11) and/or sleeve (12) is formed with a pattern consisting of grooves (111g) and lands for generating a pressure distribution in the fluid and then covered with a diamond-like carbon film (11c) over the surface of the grooves and the surface of the lands.
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit (FPLA) having a desired logical function achieved by arranging on a semiconductor chip variable logical circuits each having n×n (e.g., four) memory cells alternatively selected according to a combination of n (e.g., two) pairs of positive and negative phase signals and provided to output the positive and negative phase signals according to the data stored in the selected memory cell, variable wiring unit provided with signal lines for inter-connecting the variable logical circuits and switching elements for connecting/disconnecting signal lines inter-secting to each other, a wiring connection state storage memory circuit where the states of the switching elements are stored.
Abstract: A method for associating a password with a secured public/private key pair is disclosed. A user public/private key pair is first established for a user. The user public/private key pair includes a user public key and a user private key. Then, the user public/private key pair is encrypted along with a random password, utilizing a chip public key. Next, a first password is generated by hashing a pass phrase. Finally, the random password is encrypted along with the first password, also utilizing the chip public key. As a result, a user can assess the user private key to perform an authentication function by providing the pass phrase.
