The method includes obtaining a maintenance schedule for the public cloud environment. The maintenance schedule includes a plurality of maintenance windows and each maintenance window of the plurality of maintenance windows is associated with a respective criticality classification. The method includes receiving a maintenance request requesting maintenance of one of the plurality of services. The method also includes determining that each maintenance window associated with the respective criticality classification of the one of the plurality of services is currently closed.

Abstract: The present application describes systems and methods for filtering of malicious domain name system (DNS) queries. A DNS filter inspects a DNS query and drops the DNS query if the DNS query is deemed invalid. The DNS filter allows or drops the DNS query based on a set of rules. The set of rules includes one or more criteria for the validity or invalidity one or more DNS query attributes. The DNS filter logs the dropped DNS queries and provides them to the security analysis service for further investigation. In some examples, the DNS filter runs in a container or a virtual machine (VM) on the same system as the DNS server, or on a separate system in-line with the DNS servers.

Abstract: A method for providing biofeedback to a user may include receiving a first signal associated with one or more biometric properties of a user, and determining a baseline cognitive state of the user based on the first signal. The method may include iteratively detecting an instant cognitive state of the user, and receiving, from the detecting step, a second signal associated with the one or more biometric properties. The method may include determining whether the second signal corresponds to threshold(s). Responsive to such determination, the method may include initiating first feedback action(s). Responsive to initiating the first feedback action(s), the method may include determining whether the instant cognitive state of the user is between the threshold(s) and the baseline cognitive state, and if not, initiating second feedback action(s).

Abstract: A system and method of generating trackable frames from a broadcast video feed are provided herein. A computing system retrieves a broadcast video feed for a sporting event. The broadcast video feed includes a plurality of video frames. The computing system generates a set of frames for classification using a principal component analysis model. The set of frames are a subset of the plurality of video frames. The computing system partitions each frame of the set of frames into a plurality of clusters. The computing system classifies each frame of the plurality of frames as trackable or untrackable. Trackable frames capture a unified view of the sporting event. The computing system compares each cluster to a predetermined threshold to determine whether each cluster comprises at least a threshold number of trackable frames. The computing system classifies each cluster that includes at least the threshold number of trackable frames as trackable.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improved data conversion and distribution are provided. A data subscription unit is configured to receive data and information from a plurality of data source devices. The data subscription unit is in communication with a virtual machine that includes backtesting utility configured to generate backtesting data using one or more statistical models and one or more non-statistical models. The backtesting utility may translate the backtesting results into one or more interactive visuals, and generate a graphical user interface (GUI) for displaying the backtesting results and the one or more interactive visuals on a user device. The backtesting utility may update one or more of the displayed backtesting results and the one or more interactive visuals without re-running the modeling steps.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are gutter guard systems arranged to efficiently manage the flow of rainwater across the system and prevent the matting of debris onto the system. In one exemplary embodiment, a gutter guard system includes a main body and a screen covering the main body. The gutter guard assembly further includes a front receiver and a rear receiver that secure the screen to the main body. The screen includes at least one feature arranged to manage the flowrate of rainwater across the gutter guard system. In one example, the feature is a raised rounded area that slows the flowrate of rainwater across the gutter guard system. In another embodiment, the screen includes an upwardly angled section and a transition section. Once assembled and installed, the transition section and optionally the angled section forms hurdles that slows the flowrate of rainwater across the gutter guard system.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method of separating a carbon allotrope from a salt and a separation system for the same. The method may include adding a solid comprising the carbon allotrope and the salt to a solution comprising the salt, performing a first filtration on the solution at a first temperature to remove the carbon allotrope from the solution, adjusting the temperature of the solution to a second temperature to precipitate a first portion of the salt, performing a second filtration on the solution at the second temperature to remove the first portion of the salt from the solution, adjusting the temperature of the solution to the first temperature to dissolve a second portion of the salt in the solution, and recycling the solution.
