Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods for producing ethylene acid copolymer comprising: polymerizing via free-radical polymerization at a pressure of at least 1000 atmospheres (atm) an ethylene monomer and unsaturated carboxylic acid containing comonomer to produce the ethylene acid copolymer, wherein the ethylene monomer and unsaturated carboxylic acid containing comonomer are in a mixture comprising at least one saturated carboxylic acid cosolvent, and wherein the at least one saturated carboxylic acid cosolvent having a boiling point less than 237° C. at 1 atm pressure and is present in the mixture at an amount of 1 to 25 wt. %.

Abstract: A collapsible device in a waffle structure is disclosed. The collapsible device includes a plurality of panels, each having an outer edge and elongated slots. Each of the elongated slots extends from the outer edge towards a central portion of the panel. The elongated slots receive intersecting panels such that the plurality of panels intersect, interlock, and create a waffle-like structure. The plurality of panels is configured to move pivotally to articulate the plurality of panels between a collapsed configuration and an extended configuration. The collapsible device is used in various applications, such as fidget toys, furniture, light fixtures, and other industrial applications such as jacks or material conveyors, or any application that benefits from flexibility or increasing or decreasing the size or length.

Abstract: Disclosed is a contactless card, and a system in which the contactless card may be used. The contactless card may include a chip component, a communication interface, processing circuitry, and electromagnetic field sensing circuitry. The electromagnetic field sensing circuitry of the contactless card may be operable to provide orientation signals to the processing circuitry when the contactless card is in proximity to an oscillating electromagnetic field output by a card reader device. The processing circuitry of the contactless card may be operable to receive the orientation signals. An orientation of the contactless card with respect to the mobile device may be determined. An orientation indication signal may be generated based on the determined orientation, and a haptic indication, an audio indication, a visual indication or a combination directing movement of the contactless card in a particular direction may be output.

Abstract: A multi-phase power inverter for an electric propulsion system includes a plurality of T-type multilevel power converters arranged between a high-voltage direct current (DC) power supply and an electric machine. Each of the plurality of T-type multilevel power converters is a solid-state integrated circuit that includes a positive DC power bus, a negative DC power bus, a neutral bus, and a plurality of semiconductor switches disposed in a stacked arrangement. The plurality of semiconductor switches is interconnected via the positive DC power bus, the negative DC power bus, and the neutral bus.

Abstract: Waterborne top coat compositions, processes for preparing such compositions, and methods for forming top coats on substrates are provided. In an embodiment, a waterborne top coat composition includes water, pigment(s) and resin solids. The resin solids comprise about 60 to 100 wt. % of binder solids and 0 to about 40 wt. % of crosslinker solids, the binder solids comprising about 1 to about 40 wt. % of an acrylic/(meth)acryl copolymer hybrid binder, and about 60 to about 99 wt. % of one or more additional binders, the sum of the respective wt. % in each case equaling 100 wt. %.

Abstract: A network filter request arbiter is provided. An interface (e.g., user interface and/or programmatic interface, such as an application programming interface (API)), is for configuring and automatically implementing one or more filters in an internal and/or external network. The filters may be used to stop distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks and/or prevent malicious network traffic from reaching a target network or target device(s) within the target network. Filters implemented in a target network may also be distributed to other (e.g., upstream) networks. The distributed filters may similarly be used to stop DDOS attacks and/or prevent malicious network traffic from being carried by the networks and from reaching a target network or target device(s) within the target network.

Abstract: A semiconductor device has a first semiconductor die and second semiconductor die with a conductive layer formed over the first semiconductor die and second semiconductor die. The second semiconductor die is disposed adjacent to the first semiconductor die with a side surface and the conductive layer of the first semiconductor die contacting a side surface and the conductive layer of the second semiconductor die. An interconnect, such as a conductive material, is formed across a junction between the conductive layers of the first and second semiconductor die. The conductive layer may extend down the side surface of the first semiconductor die and further down the side surface of the second semiconductor die. An extension of the side surface of the first semiconductor die can interlock with a recess of the side surface of the second semiconductor die. The conductive layer extends over the extension and into the recess.

The camera system comprises a camera, tracking system, control system, and display device. The method of using the system comprises taking a photograph, identifying the subject of the photograph with the tracking system, storing the photograph, and displaying the photograph to the appropriate customer.

The assembled truss identifier is printed a predetermined distance from a first end of such chord wherein such assembled truss identifiers are in alignment when a series of such wooden trusses are stacked adjacent to each other.

Abstract: A debris management system includes a cylindrical housing configured to rotate and adapted to contain at least one sensor disposed within an internal volume of the cylindrical housing and having a field of view through an exterior surface of the cylindrical housing. A solvent nozzle is disposed outside of the cylindrical housing and configured to spray solvent at the exterior surface of the cylindrical housing. A drying mechanism is disposed outside of the cylindrical housing and configured to dry the exterior surface.

Abstract: A system and method is presented for performing dual mode speech recognition, employing a local recognition module on a mobile device and a remote recognition engine on a server device. The system accepts a spoken query from a user, and both the local recognition module and the remote recognition engine perform speech recognition operations on the query, returning a transcription and confidence score, subject to a latency cutoff time. If both sources successfully transcribe the query, then the system accepts the result having the higher confidence score. If only one source succeeds, then that result is accepted. In either case, if the remote recognition engine does succeed in transcribing the query, then a client vocabulary is updated if the remote system result includes information not present in the client vocabulary.

The identity network may receive, from a relying party, an identity validation request to validate a digital identity of the user. The identity network may provide, to the relying party, a link associated with an identity provider application based on the identity validation request. The identity network may receive, from an identity provider associated with the identity provider application, a confirmation that the user has successfully accessed the identity provider application via the link. After receiving the confirmation, the identity network may receive from the identity provider, an attribute validation request to validate identity attributes of the user, where the attribute validation request includes a plurality of identity attributes of the user. The identity network may validate the digital identity of the user based on the plurality of identity attributes.

Abstract: The present application relates to compositions, kits, uses, systems and methods of using naltrexone and bupropion, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, for reducing the risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes or events, including Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events (MACE) in subjects, preferably those at increased risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes of MACE, that may be overweight or obese. The present application also relates to compositions, kits, uses, systems and methods of using naltrexone and bupropion or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof for treatment of overweight of obesity in subjects, preferably at increased risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes or MACE, wherein the treatment reduces the risk of MACE.

Abstract: A provided wireless wallbox dimmer may accommodate a plurality of button configurations. The dimmer may be configured to contain a variable number of controllably conductive devices. The dimmer may include a yoke that defines a first plane and an antenna that defines a second plane that is substantially parallel to and spaced apart from the first plane. The yoke may have a flange that is oriented angularly offset relative to the first plane and provides a plurality of mounting locations for controllably conductive devices. The antenna may provide the dimmer with a first wireless transmission range. The dimmer may include a faceplate that cooperates with the antenna to provide the dimmer with a second wireless transmission range that is broader than the first wireless transmission range. The dimmer may include a button assembly that is supported independently of the yoke.

Abstract: A lift axle can be provided on a truck during or after manufacturing to allow the truck to carry more load. The lift axle can be selectively lifted above the road (e.g., when the truck is empty) and lowered onto the road (e.g., when carrying load requiring an extra axle). There are various challenges in designing a braking system for a lift axle. The embodiments presented herein provide a lift axle brake system that can overcome these challenges. In one embodiment, a lift axle brake system is used that is based on a brake system used to brake a towed vehicle towed by a towing vehicle. Other embodiments are provided.
