    Abstract: An applicator for applying fluid medicaments to a corneal surface of a patient, after surgery, includes a circular, ring-shaped member. The ring member creates an aperture which extends between parallel planes, with a wall surrounding the aperture as well as upper and lower openings into the aperture. The wall around the aperture is tapered, and there is a hole that extends through the wall. A hollow shaft is connected in fluid communication with the hole in the wall through which a fluid can be injected into the aperture. A bubble of the fluid can then be cradled in the aperture by the wall, and held therein by surface tension across the lower opening of the aperture. An application of the fluid bubble onto the patient's eye requires only contact between the fluid bubble and the eye, with no need for contact between the applicator and the eye.

The structure of the invention includes two telescoping apex legs, two generally vertical base legs having a base adapted to resist upward force on the base leg, four roof beams and a fabric roof membrane connected to each of the roof beams along a substantial portion of its periphery. A moment is applied tending to bow the roof beams upward and outward and the roof membrane is held under tension counter to said moment when the apex legs are telescopically raised relative to the base legs and the apex and base legs are positioned vertically. The invention provides a structure with a hyperbolic trapezoid roof made from modular components that are readily transported and assembled.

    Abstract: A proximity sensor comprises a magnet which generates a magnetic field and a magnetic field sensor. The magnetic field sensor includes a radio and an antenna which can transmit an output signal on a plurality of output frequencies. A microprocessor is programmed with a plurality of data protocols. Each of the output frequencies operates on at least one of the data protocols. There is a dip switch which is actuated to provide a code to the microprocessor. A data protocol is implemented by the microprocessor based on the code. There is a MEMS oscillator programmed to a discrete frequency based on the data protocol implemented by the microprocessor. The MEMS oscillator provides the discrete frequency to the radio. The radio is provided with single phase-locked loop which generates the output signal based on the discrete frequency. The single phase-locked loop may be a ×32 multiplier.
