Abstract: A complementary code keying (CCK) demodulator used in a RAKE receiver receiving CCK symbols in a multipath environment computes multipath interferences (MPIs) required for canceling intra-codeword chip interference (ICI). The algorithmic structure jointly computes the ICI of a plurality of possible codewords. The algorithmic structure is similar to the optimal architecture required for CCK correlation computations. The similarity between these two structures allows for the use of the same hardware at different times to compute MPIs and to compute the CCK correlation of a plurality of possible codewords.

Abstract: A bandgap circuit comprising a current generation circuit and a current replication circuit is provided herein. The output current of the current generation circuit is generated as a weighted sum of two currents. The circuit configuration of the current generation circuit allows it to function at low power supply voltages, e.g., on the order of 1 V. The current replication circuit includes an operational amplifier, which when configured in conjunction with MOS cascode current sources and the current generation circuit, significantly increases the accuracy and insensitivity to power supply noise of the bandgap circuit output current. A resistor may be included between the bandgap circuit output node and ground for generating a reference voltage with increased accuracy and insensitivity to power supply noise.

Preferably, the syringe body has a double-barrel structure and the plunger rod assembly includes two plunger rods that slide within the barrels. The threaded knob has a through-bore with a continuous internal thread for engaging the outer threads of the first and second plunger rods. A dental practitioner manually rotates the knob to displace the first and second plunger rods and discharge the components. The dispensing syringe may further include a dispensing tip containing a static mixing element for mixing the components and dispensing the mixed composition.

Abstract: A word current source for a magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) circuit includes an n-channel transistor including a gate, a source and a drain, where the source is coupled to a supply ground, and the drain is coupled to the MRAM circuit. Abstract: A method and an apparatus are disclosed that mitigate congestion in a backbone network that is associated with a wireless network. The illustrative embodiment of the present invention mitigates the congestion by reducing the occurrences of a bridge data-processing system flooding out pre-authentication-related packets, as well as some other types of packets, on multiple ports of the bridge. In particular, each access point initially advertises its wireless network MAC address to the backbone network, in accordance with the illustrative embodiment, in addition to advertising its backbone network MAC address. Doing so enables each bridge in the backbone network to learn and recognize the wireless network MAC address, which results in the bridge directing the pre-authentication packet to a specific port that corresponds to the target access point.

Abstract: A MRAM memory and process thereof is described. A GMR magnetic layer is patterned to form a memory bit layer and an intermediate conductive layer. Thus, a conventional deep tungsten plug process, interconnecting two conductive layers, is eliminated.

Abstract: A suturing method for a penetrating hole formed in a luminal organ using a suture material to close the penetrating hole according to the present invention includes the steps of: inserting a needle at a position that is removed from the open edge of the penetrating hole by a distance that is less than the thickness of the wall of the luminal organ and passing the needle through the wall; sending out from the needle an anchor affixed to the end of the suture material; placing the anchor in place by pulling the needle through the wall and passing the suture material through the wall; and tightening the suture material after passing the suturing material in the same direction through the wall at multiple sites interposing the penetrating hole.
Abstract: A satellite communication system and related method for collecting data in space and transmitting it to a processing center on the earth. The communication system includes at least one satellite orbiting the earth that has a device for collecting the data. The satellite transmits the data to a plurality of receive only terminals on the earth. The terminals process the signals and transmit the data on the communications link to the processing center.
