  • Patent number: 7278187
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a multi-layer fabric including at least one fibre layer formed by airlaying combined with at least one further layer which is formed by different technologies, including carding, spunlacing, meitblowing, spunbonding, or airlaying, or combined with one or more films. The airforming is performed on a separate formerwire which is applied vacuum via a suction box disposed opposite to a formerhead, and where the airformed fibre layer is transferred to a conveyor wire for joining with a further layer. Edge trimming is performed at least on the airformed layer before it is joined with one or more other layers for forming the multi-layered fabric. • Patent number: 7278419
Abstract: The need for the delivery of insulin by injection can be reduced or eliminated by delivering aerosolized insulin. Repeatability of dosing is obtainable by using either regular insulin or monomeric insulin. When delivering insulin (not monomeric) by inhalation, the total inhaled volume should be about the same at each delivery to obtain repeatable results. The patient can be coached (by teaching) to inhale a given amount of air and can also be coached (by teaching) to inhale at a given flow rate. Further, the rate at which blood glucose is lowered is increased by the use of monomeric insulin. Particles of insulin and monomeric insulin delivered to the surface of lung tissue will be absorbed into the circulatory system. A dry powder or a liquid insulin formulation is delivered to the patient from a mechanical or electronic hand-held, self-contained device.

Abstract: This invention relates to a hearing aid system (100, 200, 300) for generating auditory spatial cues. The hearing aid system (100, 200, 300) comprises a first microphone unit (306) adapted to convert sound received at a first microphone (102) and received at a second microphone (104), a first delay unit (106) connected to the first microphone (102) delaying the signal from the first microphone (102), a first calculation unit (108) for summing the delayed signal of the first microphone (102) and signal of the second microphone (104), a processor unit (110) processing the summed signal, and a speaker converting the processed signal to a processed sound. The first and second microphones (102, 104) are separated by a predetermined first distance and the first delay unit (106) provides a predetermined first delay thereby generating a first auditory spatial cue representing a first spatial dimension in the summed signal.

Abstract: A cartridge having a distal end provided with a mechanical coding. The coding has the form of a circular protrusion where the circular outer diameter is dedicated a specific concentration of insulin contained in the cartridge. The distal end of the cartridge is fitted in to a circular contour in the housing. The outer diameter of the protrusion on the distal end of the cartridge is chosen as a larger diameter for a higher concentration of insulin.
