Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for converting power from a power input to a DC output current or voltage, where a first feedback circuit a traditional feedback. The converter type is a resonant DC-DC converter. The scope of the invention is to reach a high effective and fast responding switch mode power supply. This can be achieved with an apparatus or method comprising a second feedback circuit leading a signal from a serial resonance capacitor(s) to a reference input terminal at the control circuit, which second feedback circuit contains a signal depending on the actual change in charge of the resonant capacitor(s). This means that at high load, a very powerful signal will be transmitted through the second feedback at the control circuit that will change the operation of the circuit into a charge mode operation.

Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for detecting hydrogeneous material on a ship's deck comprising a neutron source located below the surface of the ship's deck and emitting fast/energy-rich neutrons, and a detector device that is located below the surface of the ship's deck and detecting thermal neutrons. The invention further relates to a corresponding method of detecting hydrogeneous material on a ship's deck. Hereby an apparatus and a method are provided for detecting occurrences of water on a ship's deck, wherein these occurrences appear in particular when travelling in rough weather conditions. The apparatus being located below the ship's deck, it is consequently not exposed to wear due to rough weather conditions.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of establishing a PWM-modulated output signal representation (OS), providing a stream of parallelly determined intersection representations (PIR) on the basis of a stream of parallel reference signal representation (PRSR) and an input signal (IS), establishing a serial PWM output signal representation (OS) by transforming said stream of parallelly determined intersection representations (PIR) into a stream of serial intersection representations (SIR) by means of a relative time shift of at least one of said parallelly determined intersections (PIR). According to an embodiment of the invention, an advantageous way of providing intersection estimates has been obtained, as each or at least a number of intersection estimates between a reference signal and an input signal may be established partially while taking only the individual partial reference functions into consideration.

Abstract: A decanter centrifuge has a hollow, rotatable drum with a screw conveyor comprising a core body (1), in which an inlet opening for material into the drum from an inlet chamber (3) is provided, the inlet opening having a delimitation surface (7) which is rear relative to the direction of rotation and extending substantially axially, said delimitation surface being provided with a wear reinforcement member (8). The wear reinforcement member extends along the rear delimitation surface (7) into the inlet chamber (3). The wear reinforcement member (8) is provided with abutment surfaces (11; 19) in abutment against abutment surfaces associated with the core body, which during operation prevents the wear reinforcement member (8) from moving tangentially forwards in the in the direction of rotation and radially out of the core body (1). At least one of said abutment surfaces associated with the core body (1) is constituted by a removable blocking member (17).
Abstract: This invention relates to absolute pressure sensors with two bonded wafers containing a pressure sensing structure and forming a reference pressure chamber and a buffer chamber. Since the buffer chamber collects molecules, which permeate through a bonding interface between the two wafers, a raise in pressure of the reference chamber can be avoided. The sensor is therefore more resistant to pressure equalisation between the pressure chamber and the pressure of the surroundings, i.e. the sensed pressure and repetitive recalibration of the sensor can be avoided.

The human antibodies can be produced in a transfectoma or in a non-human transgenic animal, e.g., a transgenic mouse, capable of producing multiple isotypes of human monoclonal antibodies by undergoing V-D-J recombination and isotype switching. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions comprising the human antibodies, non-human transgenic animals, and hybridomas which produce the human antibodies, and therapeutic and diagnostic methods for using the human antibodies.

Abstract: A method and device are provided for the determination of the concentration of compounds in body tissue. The method utilises optical methods based on the interaction of light with compounds, whereby the concentration of the compound under analysis is determined. The method is especially suited for analysis for the concentration of glucose in blood or tissue of diabetic patients, a device being implanted underneath the skin of the patient and the method being carried out by using the implanted device. The device contains photo detectors at different levels connected by wires to an electronic circuit device. A differential analysis is performed on the signals from the detectors to reduce the effect of skin on the analysis.
