    Abstract: Ice lollies are frozen in two-parted moulds which are inserted in rows of freezing pockets in an ice lolly freezing machine. The moulds are thawed loose from the freezing pockets in which freezing has been carried out, are lifted out of the freezing pockets, separated for releasing the frozen ice lollies, assembled and inserted again into a row of freezing pockets. Before the moulds are lifted, a moderate heating of the freezing pockets is carried out sufficient for thawing loose the moulds with respect to the pockets. Then the moulds are lifted and moved to a position outside the area of such freezing pockets of such freezing machine. At the position the moulds are heated for thawing loose the ice lollies. Then the moulds are separated and the ice lollies removed while the moulds are positioned outside the area of the freezing pockets. Now the moulds are moved back to the area of the freezing pockets and are inserted into an empty row of freezing pockets.

    Abstract: High-frequency magnetic bias signals are superimposed on the data signals and are synchronized with the data signals. For the data signals and for the magnetic bias signals in each instance a separate write amplifier with two logic elements is provided which are alternately switched in dependence upon the binary values of the data signals and the magnetic bias signals, respectively. Mutually corresponding logic elements in the write amplifiers are interconnected at the output side via resistances. The magnetic head is connected between the connection points of the resistances. The resistances determine the respective current through the magnetic head. As logic elements preferably integrated NAND circuits without output-side collector resistances are provided.

    Abstract: A cell cultivation container with screw cover, where the zone of the mouth portion of the container adjacent the edge of the mouth has a greater diameter than the more remote zone and is constructed with at least two inwardly protruding, axially extending projections, and where the screw cover has an inner skirt with an outer annular bead which in the fully closed position of the cover is in sealing engagement with the inner wall of the narrow zone of the mouth portion of the container, while in partly unscrewed position of the cover the bead is only in contact with the inwardly protruding, axially extending projections. Hereby the cross-sectional area of the communication passages between the interior of the container and the surroundings formed by partial unscrewing of the cover will remain constant, even if the angle of turning of the screw cover varies within wide limits.

    Abstract: A bottle single filer for combining bottles (10) fed in a plurality of rows on an inlet conveyor (11) to a single row on an outlet conveyor (14), has a plurality of oblong separators (38), which are controlled so as to be movable through a closed path in which they extend obliquely across the inlet conveyor in parallel with the transverse rows of bottles on it. At a specific location in this path the individual separator moves down between two bottle rows which it follows until the bottles contact and slide along a barrier (17), which is formed by a transfer section of one side rail and forms a smaller angle with the transport direction than the separators, the bottles being pushed on to the outlet conveyor along said barrier. In connection with the side rails the separators ensure that only one row of bottles at a time can pass, to thereby obviate bridge formation and jamming. This also reduces the risk of bottle collision and thus the noise level.

Furthermore, different blood samples with the same ion concentration but with varying erythrocyte content will give corresponding measuring results.

    Abstract: The alignment of the drill stem and bit of a rock drill rig is corrected when the force of drilling and the feeding power on the drilling machine of the rig has resulted in a change in the direction of the drill stem because of deformation of the articulated and extensible drill boom of the rig and of its pivotally supported drill support on the drill boom. The drill rig is of the type that includes elements for measuring boom lengths and articulation angles, servos for controlling such lengths and angles and a control unit which is connected to the measuring elements and servos for adjusting the drill stem and bit. The various articulation angles which are required to compensate for deformations of the drill boom and drill support are determined as if the drill boom and support were in an unloaded condition, on the basis of measured values of the boom lengths and articulation angles which have been registered in the control unit in an unloaded condition.

A tilting of the container causes the pivotal member to be rotated, thereby entailing a lateral displacement of the pin away from the closing valve which then occupies its closing position against the seat and prevents further filling until the container reoccupies the prescribed position.When the maximum filling level has been reached, the float causes closing of the same valve, for instance by dominating the load so as to provoke a rotation of the pivotal member.

    Abstract: A locking device for selectively locking and releasing a rope or a similar elongated, flexible element comprises a channel-shaped frame and a clamping member which is provided with a handle and is mounted swingably within the frame. A further advantage is that, by far, the main constituent of the higher hydrocarbons formed is ethane, which, by conversion into ethylene, is an important raw material in petrochemical synthesis.The selectivity for methane formation may be further improved by promoting the catalyst with compounds, especially sulphides of metals of groups IA, IIA and/or IIIB, particularly cerium.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of dressing both the face and the roundings on a grindstone (4) in a cylindrical grinding machine in one uninterrupted operation. The diamond tip (3), which is mounted on the dressing arm (2), is traversed across the face of the stone (4) by means of a hydraulic cylinder (13) and a connecting rod (16) with a rack and pinion (11, 10). Also connected to the rod (16) is a centering cylinder (14) with a connecting rod (18) and a rack and pinion (12, 10). The rods are driven by two hydraulic motors which can cause linear or turning motion of the carriage. The second motor (14) acts as a damper during turning to insure a smooth transition throughout the curvature.
