Abstract: A method of processes audio signals picked up from a sound field by a microphone system of a listening device adapted for being worn at a particular one of the left or right ear of a user, the sound field comprising sound signals from one or more sound sources, the sound signals impinging on the user from one or more directions relative to the user. Information about a user's Ear, Head, and Torso Geometry and the user's hearing ability in combination with knowledge of the spectral profile and location of current sound sources provide the means for deciding upon which frequency bands that, at a given time, contribute most to the BEE seen by the listener or the Hearing Instrument. For a given sound source, a number of donor frequency bands is determined at a given time, where an SNR-measure for the selected signal is above a predefined threshold.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a chewing gum having a high Surface Area to Volume ratio (SAV ratio), wherein said chewing gum comprises a water insoluble gum base matrix, a water soluble bulk portion and nicotine, wherein the gum base matrix, nicotine and the bulk portion are mixed and extruded to form a final extruded chewing gum product having a SAV ratio above 0.7, and wherein sustained release of nicotine is facilitated by adding 0.1-10% of C8-C10 triglycerides by weight of the chewing gum.

Abstract: The present invention provides a structural characterization platform that can be used to assess the stability of a polyclonal cell line during production, as well as batch-to-batch consistency of the final polyclonal products. The structural characterization platform is based on genetic analysis as well as protein characterization techniques that alone or in combination provides the necessary information to characterize the polyclonal cell line and final products. The collection of different homologous proteins to be analyzed with the platform techniques is for example a recombinant polyclonal antibody or a mixture of monoclonal antibodies.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a listening device for a hearing impaired person. The present invention furthermore relates to a corresponding operating method of operating a listening device and to a corresponding computer program. In particular, the present invention relates to a listening device that comprises a signal processing unit that is controlled by a controller configured to implement a combined feed-forward and feed-back control in order to ensure that both an electric input signal and a processed electric output signal have at least almost identical modulation index values. Thereby, speech intelligibility is increased, in particular for a hearing impaired person being capable of perceiving sound pressure levels in a substantially decreased dynamic range.
Abstract: A method of estimating a floor temperature of a solid floor that has a fluid conduit embedded in the floor. Provided is a control scheme that provides a sequence, where the concrete temperature can be estimated through the temperature of the fluid in the conduit embedded in the floor. After the concrete temperature is obtained, a heating sequence can be initiated for providing fast and accurate control of the floor temperature.

Abstract: The present invention provides an assembly for the preparation of a medical device having a porous coating comprising hydrogen peroxide. Particularly interesting medical devices are catheters (such as urinary catheters), endoscopes, laryngoscopes, tubes for feeding, tubes for drainage, guide wires, condoms, urisheaths, barrier coatings e.g. for gloves, stents and other implants, extra corporeal blood conduits, membranes e.g. for dialysis, blood filters, devices for circulatory assistance, dressings for wound care, and ostomy bags. The coating is in particular a hydrophilic coating formed from cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone. In one embodiment, the assembly holds a dry catheter element in one compartment of a package and an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution in another compartment. The solution may also comprise stabilizers, e.g. chelators, and osmolality increasing agents.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an enzyme composition comprising enzyme containing polymer particles, which is useful for detergent compositions, in particular for liquid detergent compositions. In these enzyme containing particles, the particles comprise i) at least one enzyme, and ii) at least one polymer P, which is selected from homo- and copolymers having a C—C-backbone, wherein the C—C-backbone carries carboxylgroups, which may be present in the acidic form or in the neutralized form, and wherein the C—C-backbone comprises hydrophobic repeating units.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus for exercising muscle groups in a person's legs by stretching and/or retraction, which exercise apparatus comprises at least a first frame and at least a first foot platform which foot platform is rotatable fastened to a hearing, which hearing is placed in relation to the person's foot for exercise at least plantar flexion and/or dorsal flexion, which exercise apparatus further includes a leg support. Hereby can be achieved exercising of the muscle groups by stretching and/or retraction (quadriceps lemons, biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus, gastrocnememius, tibialis posterior, tibialis anterior, peroneus longus, peroneus brevis and soleus) in the legs of a person, and the muscles (soleus, gastrocnemius, tibialis posterior, peroneus brevis, peroneus longus, biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus) at the back side of the legs.
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of avoiding that wind turbine voltage levels within a wind power plant do not exceed predetermined overvoltage and/or undervoltage protection levels. In particular, the present invention relates to shifting of an output voltage level of a wind power plant in order to protect an internal power plant grid against overvoltages.
Abstract: A headphone or a headset having at least a first and a second earphone unit is provided, the first and second earphone units being interconnected via a connecting band, the connecting band having a first end configured to connect to the first earphone unit and a second end configured to connect to the second earphone unit, wherein at least the first earphone unit comprises a first transceiver, and at least the first end of the connecting band comprises a second transceiver, the first and second transceivers being configured to inductively connect, thereby connecting the first earphone unit to conducting elements in the connecting band. It is an advantage of using an inductive connection between the earphone unit and the connecting band that no wires need to be transferred from the earphone unit to the connecting band. Hereby, a 360 degree rotation of the joint may be obtained.
Abstract: The pharmaceutical use of lipases related to the Thermomyces lanuginosus (Humicola lanuginosa) lipase comprising amino acids 1-269 of SEQ ID NO: 2, optionally in combination with a protease and/or an amylase. Examples of medical indications are: Treatment of digestive disorders, pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI), pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, diabetes type I, and/or diabetes type II. The lipases of the invention have, e.g., an improved digestion performance in vitro, an improved activity at a pH in the neutral range, an improved stability at low pH, and are stable against protease-degradation, and/or are stable in the presence of pepsin and bile salts. The invention also relates to methods of determining digestion performance in vitro of lipases, as well as to certain novel variants of the lipase of T. lanuginosus.
