  • Patent number: 11867763
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring condition of a fleet of circuit breakers includes: measuring at least one type of operating condition related signal for the respective circuit breakers during their operation; obtaining a set of feature data representing the respective measurements of operating condition related signal; performing cluster analysis of the set of feature data based on a similarity threshold; and generating a signal indicating the condition of the fleet of circuit breakers based on the resulting cluster number. Rather than comparing the data representing the measurements of operating condition related signal to a reference model built on CB's normal data, the method includes applying cluster analysis of the set of feature data representing the respective measurements of operating condition related signal. The method does not need a reference “normal” database for comparison.

  • Patent number: 11867623
Abstract: A cavity enhanced absorption spectroscopy (CEAS) system is provided that utilizes collimators the incorporate gradient index (GRIN) lenses in lieu of conventional spherical or aspheric refractive lenses. The use of smaller diameter GRIN lenses facilitates a reduced initial beam size entering the sample cavity, which reduces self-interference noise and increases a signal to noise ratio of the measurements. Further, a reduced size and mass of the GRIN lens can reduce a size of the mounting hardware utilized to mount the optical components, which enables more laser beams to be coupled to a single gas cell compared to a similar gas cell integrated with conventional refractive collimators. A larger number of lasers enables more gas peaks to be measured substantially simultaneously using the CEAS system.

  • Patent number: 11862975
Abstract: A method for transferring power between medium voltage feeders via a direct current link in a power distribution network includes setting an iteration step value for each of a set of power reference quantities of the link, setting an initial value of each reference quantity, iteratively changing values of each reference quantity, and selecting one changed value of the set by: changing a present value of each reference quantity with the set iteration step value into a new value, measuring a total active power at a substation of the power distribution network for each new value, and selecting the new value that provides the lowest measured total active power at the substation. A next iteration is performed with the selected new value as present value for the one of the set of power reference quantities and with the present value for the other of the set of power reference quantities.
