    Abstract: Electronic circuitry for color-mixing in an LED light fixture during AC power dimming is disclosed to achieve adjustable color temperature. According to one embodiment, a dimmable LED light fixture has first, second, and third LED light sources, the first and second LED light sources producing white light, the third LED light source producing colored light, the LED driver configured to power the LED light sources by providing a single-channel variable-DC current source having two output terminals, and a current regulator for maintaining the current in the third LED light source path substantially constant as the LED driver output current is decreased when the AC power is reduced by the dimmer module, thereby altering the color of the light produced by the combination of the LED light sources.

First projections are positioned on opposite sides of the opening and aligned with the opposing edges. Second projections are positioned on opposite sides of the opening at a radial distance from the first projections. The baffle further includes a plurality of grooves that extend circumferentially around an inner surface of the baffle.

Each of the brackets also includes a resilient member, such as a leg spring, which can be engaged to and disengaged from a portion of a light fixture, such as a groove, to hold or release the recessed light fixture in the wall opening.

The CCT of the non-tungsten based lighting device is determined at a lighting control device that can provide fixture-dependent driver levels to various lighting devices of varying types. A lighting controller engine can determine a white component color temperature value based on a desired intensity level and a default CCT value received via a user interface of the lighting control device. The lighting control device can determine the driver levels for controlling characteristics of light emitted from the non-tungsten based lighting device based on the white component color temperature value and a user defined color level. The lighting control device can scale the white component color temperature to reflect variations of warmth as the intensity level is adjusted.

    Abstract: A gestural control dimmer switch for controlling the illumination level of a light using hand movements includes a dimmer panel having a continuum of positions associated with a spectrum of illumination levels of the light. Hand position sensors produce a hand position detection field in front of the continuum of positions of the dimmer panel through which a hand can be passed. No dimming input is produced by a hand passing through the hand position detection field until the hand passing through the detection field reaches a set trigger position at one of the continuum of positions along the dimmer panel. A dimming input is only produced in response to changes in hand position in the hand position detection field after the hand reaches the trigger position. A new trigger position is set after the illumination level of the light controlled by the dimmer switch is adjusted.

    Abstract: A light fixture including an electronic housing and at least one optical chamber positioned on each side of the electronic housing. In some embodiments, the optical chambers are positioned a distance from the electronic housing so as to avoid creation of a thermal path between the optical chambers and the electronic housing. Each optical chamber includes a heat sink and a plurality of LEDs mounted on a PCB that is, in turn, mounted on the heat sink. A reflector is positioned over at least a portion of the PCB. In some embodiments, vents extend through the heat sink and a fin extends upwardly from the heat sink and angles at least partially over at least some of the vents. In use, air enters the optical chambers and exits the fixture through the top vents in the heat sink. The air circulates over the reflector, carrying heat from the reflectors during the process. Heat is also conducted to the air from the heat sink.

The first side has a fully or partially reflective surface. The plurality of rows of shield surfaces prevent light from the LEDs from reflecting toward the back of the LED luminaire. The shield may include notches for allowing removal of one or more of the plurality of rows of shield surfaces or a portion thereof from the frame and for customization of light distribution from the LED luminaire. The shield may also be cut lengthwise such that each of the plurality of rows of shield surfaces includes a partial shield surface and shields only a portion of a row of LEDs located on the LED luminaire.
