Abstract: A current sense system may include a relay, a load conductor, and an integrator sub-circuit. Current may be provided to an electrical load via the load conductor and a latch of the relay. The current carried via the load conductor may induce a sense voltage in a coil of the relay. Based on the sense voltage induced in the relay coil, the integrator sub-circuit may determine a load sense voltage that indicates a level of the current carried via the load conductor. In some implementations, a current indication module may provide an indicator signal based on the load sense voltage. In addition, the indicator signal may be provided to additional components or devices, such as a relay controller configured to activate the latch. In some implementations, the relay controller may be configured to open the latch based on the current level described by the indicator signal.

Abstract: An emergency luminaire includes an emergency luminaire light source to emit emergency illumination lighting. The emergency luminaire also includes an emergency luminaire power supply configured to be driven by an emergency power line. The emergency luminaire further includes emergency luminaire programming, wherein execution of the emergency luminaire programming configures the emergency luminaire to implement the following functions. The emergency luminaire tracks an active message gap time. In response to receiving a normal power active message from a respective member device of a plurality of member devices of a lighting control group before the tracked active message gap time exceeds an active message timeout, the emergency luminaire resets the active message gap time.

Abstract: An example radio frequency (RF) positioning node system calculates a respective distance between an uncommissioned RF positioning node to each of neighboring commissioned RF positioning nodes based on a respective received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurement. Based on the calculated respective distance to each of the neighboring commissioned RF positioning nodes and a set of commissioned location coordinates of each of the neighboring commissioned RF positioning nodes, the RF positioning node system estimates a set of uncommissioned location coordinates of the uncommissioned RF positioning node.

Abstract: A controller assembly for a light fixture may include a controller housing to be received within a knockout opening of a light fixture housing from which light is emitted, and a user input assembly positioned within the controller housing. The user input assembly may include a mechanical actuator accessible through a controller opening in the controller housing, and a connector interface to be electrically connected by wiring to a driver of the light fixture, and circuitry electrically coupled to the mechanical actuator and the connector interface. The circuitry may be used to detect actuation of the mechanical actuator by a user and, in response, change a control signal from the connector interface to the driver from a first control signal to a second control signal in order change a property of the emitted light.
Abstract: A lighting fixture, including a bus printed circuit board that receives power from an external source, may be configured with programmable drivers. The bus printed circuit board has mechanical features for receiving the programmable drivers to mechanically mount the programmable driver to the bus printed circuit board. Each programmable driver may have a set of spring contacts positioned to engage exposed pads of the bus printed circuit board when the programmable driver is mounted to the bus printed circuit board, to supply power to the programmable driver. The lighting fixture further includes one or more light sources driven by the programmable drivers.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is system level occupancy counting in a lighting system configured to obtain an indicator data of a RF spectrum signal (signal) generated at a number of times in an area. At each respective one of the number of times, apply one of a plurality of heurist algorithm heuristic algorithm coefficients to each indicator data of the signal, based on results of the application of the heuristic algorithm coefficients, generate an indicator data metric value for each of the indicator data for the respective time. The lighting system is also configured to process each of the indicator data metric value to compute a plurality of metric values for the respective time and combine the plurality of metric values to compute an output metric value for each of a plurality of probable number of occupants in the area for the respective time. The lighting system is further configured to determine an occupancy count in the area at the respective time based on the computed output metric value.

Abstract: An example control system includes a set of light fixtures connected to a hub, where each light fixture includes a hub-communication device configured to communicate with the hub and a direct communication device configured to communicate directly with other light fixtures. Together, the light fixtures form a mesh network facilitated by the use of their direct communication devices. An external device communicates an instruction to a light fixture, and the instruction is propagated throughout the mesh network through communications among the light fixtures using their respective direct communication devices. As a result, each light fixture to which the instruction applies receives and complies with the instructions. The light fixtures are also configured to receive instructions from the hub, such that a light fixture is configured to receive instructions over dual networks.
Abstract: In one or more embodiments, a luminaire includes a housing, a light source coupled with the housing, an optical sheet coupled with the housing, and a film stabilizer coupled with the housing. The optical sheet includes a first surface and an opposing second surface that are both disposed substantially horizontally when the luminaire is in an installed orientation. The first surface is disposed facing the light source, so that when the light source emits light, the light passes first through the first surface and subsequently through the second surface. The film stabilizer includes a third surface and an opposing fourth surface. The film stabilizer is disposed with the third surface adjacent to the second surface of the optical sheet, and provides mechanical support for the optical sheet.
