The waveguide forms at least a portion of an uppermost optical surface of the luminaire. The one or more second light sources are coupled with the housing and configured to emit a second light into the optical material through at least one of the one or more edge faces. The waveguide is configured to emit at least a portion of the second light upwardly from an upper one of the planar faces.

The optical cover includes a portion of an optical material that forms a constant cross-section transverse to the axial direction. An outer surface of the cross-section is substantially planar, and an inner surface of the cross-section forms a plurality of facets. Each of the facets forms a refractive surface that is configured to refract a corresponding portion of light from the light source, and a return surface that connects the refractive surface with a refractive surface of an adjacent facet. When the outer surface is oriented horizontally on a lower side of the portion of the optical material, and the linear light source is positioned at an installation height above the inner surface, all facets within at least 30 degrees of nadir from the light source are optimized to provide a selected light distribution.

The secondary side of the flyback converter supplies constant output power to the LED lighting fixture for an arbitrary output voltage within a predetermined range.

Then, the receiver RF node waits a delay period of time, wherein the delay period of time corresponds to the assigned value or a multiple thereof, and additionally broadcasts the data packet.

In some cases, the relay panel includes a power supply capable of protecting the panel from high-voltage and high-current transients. In some implementations, the relay panel includes a relay sense circuit that is capable of receiving actuation signals from multiple relays connected to different phases of a power signal, and the microcontroller may synchronize or repeat the actuations based on a signal from the relay sense circuit. The microcontroller may generate relay addresses based on the relay positions within the relay panel. In some cases, the relay panel may include isolation circuits that are capable of providing an isolated control signal having an improved voltage range.

In some cases, the luminaire can be commissioned manually, by hard coding the luminaire with its location either at the luminaire itself or using a device (e.g., a smartphone, tablet, or a dedicated luminaire commissioning device) to program the luminaire with location information. In some cases, the luminaire can be commissioned automatically. In some cases, the luminaire may be configured to provide visual, aural, or tactile feedback to indicate that the luminaire has not received location data or that the luminaire has been moved.

    Abstract: A ultraviolet (UV) intensity indicator might use a UV responsive lumiphore to provide a converted, visible light level proportional to received UV light intensity for comparison to a visible brightness reference. For a desired UV intensity, the converted light should normally appear at least as bright as the reference light. For undesired UV, e.g. in a harmful wavelength range, the converted light should appear dimmer than the reference for normal operation and/or appear as bright as or brighter than the reference during excessive emission of the potentially hazardous UV emission. Alternatively, saturable lumiphores may provide different color outputs responsive to UV intensities for comparison to a multi-colored reference. Other examples contemplate use of a lumiphore to convert UV light to provide a visible light input to a visible light meter, such that an illuminance or brightness measurement by the meter gives a proportional representation of intensity of the UV light.
