Abstract: A system to perform brand impact verification (BIV) for a utilization-related software application (URSA), associated with an identity and a software development process (SDP) including multiple phases. The system includes a requirements-design module to determine brand characteristics of a brand associated with the identity, and software application properties associated with the URSA. The system also includes a BIV testing engine, executed by a computer system, to identify design test procedures to produce quantitative and qualitative design test results based on the determined brand characteristics and the determined software application properties. The BIV testing engine also implements the design test procedures to generate design test results in an SDP design step of an SDP associated with the URSA. The design test procedures are implemented in the SDP in a SDP design step prior to implementing an SDP full implementation test step testing a full implementation of the URSA.

Abstract: A platform for providing real-time promotions determines a customer interested in a product or service. The platform identifies customer information associated with the customer, as well as a set of products of interest to the customer. The platform identifies a supplier or advertiser associated with each of the products and receives promotion bids from one or more of the suppliers or advertisers. The platform generates a score for each of the received promotion bids, selects at least one of the promotion bids for transmission to the mobile device, and transmits the selected at least one promotion bids to the mobile device. The platform tracks customer behavior associated with the at least one promotion bids and provides the tracked behavior information back to the suppliers or advertisers.

Abstract: A hybrid recommendation system uses offline testing and online testing to generate and optimize recommendation functions. The functions generate recommendations which may be presented online for product purchases. Indices are created from the recommendations. Lookups may be performed on the indices to select recommendations for a particular user. The selected recommendations may be filtered before presenting to the user.

The virtual flow documents may represent ordered sequences of method calls for the application. The source code flow analysis may further include extracting features of the virtual flow documents, determining similarity between the virtual flow documents by estimating similarities for the extracted features to determine a flow-to-flow similarity, and clustering the virtual flow documents based on the flow-to-flow similarity. The flow-to-flow similarity may be further used, for example, to generate highest priority virtual flow documents and methods for the source code.

The micro grid comprises multi-type energy supply devices to provide both electricity and thermal energy, In embodiments of the present disclosure, a capacity determination process for minimizing both annual integrated cost for the micro grid and annual energy outage cost, is performed under constraints on electricity supply/demand balance and thermal energy supply/demand balance, and operation constraints on the multi-type energy supply devices, to determine respective numbers or energy supply capacity of the multi-type energy supply device. With embodiments of the present disclosure, it may achieve an optimal capacity termination which could provide a significant cost saving and at the same time guarantees the operation reliability of the micro grid.

Sensors in proximity to a user may collect neural activity data (e.g., brain wave data) and physiological data (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar level, etc.). The biological information may be analyzed to determine, for each user, an emotion metric indicating an emotional state of the user at various times. The emotion metrics may be correlated with location data to determine the emotion metric of the user at various sites during a trip. Tag metadata describing the location(s) may be clustered through semantic analysis to generate clusters of semantically similar tags. Emotion metric scores for the clusters may be employed to predict destination(s) where the user(s) may exhibit positive emotion metrics, and the predicted destination(s) may be presented to users in advertisements or other content.
