Abstract: A method, computer-readable medium, and system for monitoring usage of computing resources provisioned across multiple cloud providers and/or data centers are disclosed. Events associated with usage of a plurality of computing resources may be accessed, where the plurality of computing resources may implement a virtual machine, a plurality of virtual machines of a cloud computing environment, etc. The events may be associated with a start, a stop, a status change, etc., of the plurality of computing resources. The events may be used to generate usage data for the plurality of computing resources. The usage data may include historical data associated with previous usage of the plurality of computing resources. Additionally, the usage data may be displayed using a graphical user interface, thereby enabling monitoring and/or tracking of usage of computing resources provisioned across at least one cloud provider and/or at least one data center.

The configuration information may identify a group of experimental treatments and information identifying a target event. The device may identify an experimental treatment to be implemented in the application, and may implement the experimental treatment in the application. The device may collect response information based on implementing the experimental treatment. The device may detect the target event associated with the experiment, indicating that the response information is to be provided to an experiment server. The device may determine that the experiment server is unreachable and may store the response information. Abstract: A method, computer-readable medium, and system for provisioning computing resources across multiple cloud providers and/or data centers are disclosed. A graphical user interface is used to select a plurality of computing resources and at least one cloud provider and/or at least one data center for providing the plurality of computing resources. Scripts associated with the at least one cloud provider and/or at least one data center are accessed, where each script is capable of automatically setting up a computing resource on an associated cloud provider or associated data center. The scripts are then used to automatically allocate and/or configure the computing resources on the at least one cloud provider and/or at least one data center. As such, computing resources can be automatically provisioned using a generic graphical user interface and without a user having skills or credentials specific to each cloud provider and/or data center.

Abstract: An electronic certificate system facilitates the secure application of certificates against wireless data transfers with a distributer system by a device user. A certificate enabled device carried by the user stores electronic certificates in memory. When the distributer system detects a certificate enabled device within a proximity radio frequency field, the distributer system queries and obtains applicable certificates for the user from the certificate enabled device carried by the user, applies the certificates to a data transfer, and securely communicates the resulting data transfer metadata back to the certificate enabled device.

Abstract: Privacy is defined in the context of a guessing game based on the so-called guessing inequality. The privacy of a sanitized record, i.e., guessing anonymity, is defined by the number of guesses an attacker needs to correctly guess an original record used to generate a sanitized record. Using this definition, optimization problems are formulated that optimize a second anonymization parameter (privacy or data distortion) given constraints on a first anonymization parameter (data distortion or privacy, respectively). Optimization is performed across a spectrum of possible values for at least one noise parameter within a noise model. Noise is then generated based on the noise parameter value(s) and applied to the data, which may comprise real and/or categorical data. Prior to anonymization, the data may have identifiers suppressed, whereas outlier data values in the noise perturbed data may be likewise modified to further ensure privacy.
