Abstract: Novel tools for development and operation of ETL (Extract Transform Load) systems for populating databases. An embodiment uses metadata tables to describe relationships between jobs to run for processing data. These relationships can include parent-child job relation, and priority. These tools create a DataStage Service Architecture (DSA) that helps automate and control the ETL process. Other tools allow developers to easily view and update the ETL process.

Abstract: An electronic file delivery system reduces the bandwidth an electronic mail server must dedicate to large files and decreases the storage space required for attachments in an electronic mail inbox. The system uploads the large file to the recipient's personalized storage account. The recipient receives an electronic notification of the file in their storage account. The recipient may access the file without additional burden on the electronic mail server resources.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and techniques relating to enterprise application integration. In general, one aspect of the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a computer system including a service oriented architecture (SOA), where the system includes a composite application configured to present sales targeted information by combining services from multiple application resources on a network, wherein the multiple application resources include: a sales force automation (SFA) tool configured to automate sales and sales force management functions; a real-time predictive analytics tool configured to evaluate customer purchasing data and recommend products or services based on the customer purchasing data; a knowledge management tool configured to search and retrieve data across multiple integrated applications; and a calendar tool configured to manage appointment scheduling.

Abstract: An infrastructure to develop, store, maintain and deliver methodology content to end users includes a database of metadata containing definitions of explicit and implicit relationships between methodology objects representative of published documents. The infrastructure includes an integrated suite of tools including a methodology development tool, multiple user interfaces including a methodology finder and a methodology browser, and an estimating tool that integrates the methodology content into the project planning process.

Abstract: An enhanced network adapter framework, in which parameters are stored in a configuration table, the parameters being customized for a network and an application. A network adapter customized for the network and the application is instantiated based on invoking a generic network adapter which externally references the configuration table, and communication between the application and the network is effected using the instantiated network adapter.

Abstract: A method for providing a financial evaluation of at least one financial instrument or of an issuer supports the provision of a dynamic credit limit. A dynamic credit limit may be associated with a counterparty or a debt security of the counterparty, for example. The method includes obtaining counterparty credit quality data associated with a transaction of the financial instrument between a party and a counterparty. Debt market data is obtained where the debt market data is associated with or relevant to the transaction. A dynamic credit limit is determined for the counterparty or a financial instrument of the counterparty based on at least one of the inputted counterparty credit quality and the obtained debt market data. The dynamic credit limit may be defined in terms of a credit exposure versus time.

Abstract: Disclosed is a provisioning tool and method for a communications network, particularly a broadband communications network which is arranged to provision a service for a user based on information available via another user connection; this facilitates provision. In a preferred embodiment, a user device address is obtained from a user IP address. Provisioning and other network tools with additional or alternative advantageous features are disclosed and the provisioning tools disclosed may communicate with a variety of other tools including planning and inventory applications and agents associated with equipment, all of which are also independently provided, enabling provision of a variety of novel services and features dealing with a spectrum of problems arising in a communications environment, particularly a broadband environment.

Abstract: A method selectively distributes data to a set of devices linked by a network, where each device has at least one unique identifier. The method comprises selecting devices to be members of the set, the set devices being selected to receive the data based on the at least one unique identifier, and distributing data to at least the selected devices, the data including at least one matching key for matching at least a portion of the unique identifier of selected devices. The unique identifier is a device hardware identifier, being a string of bits and the key correlates to at least a portion of the string of bits.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer media, and methods for altering a submitted image of a person. The submitted image is transformed in accordance with associated data regarding the person's condition. Global data may be processed by a statistical process to obtain cluster information, and the transformation parameter is then determined from cluster information. The transformation parameter is then applied to a portion of the submitted image to render a transformed image. A transformation parameter may include a texture alteration parameter, a hair descriptive parameter, or a reshaping parameter. An error measure may be determined that gauges a discrepancy between a transformed image and an actual image. A transformation model is subsequently reconfigured with a modified model in order to reduce the error measure. Also, the transformation model may be trained to reduce an error measure for the transformed image.

The functional design creation tool extracts contents from a processed requirements specification including one or more processed requirement statements. The functional design creation tool applies one or more glossaries and a set of heuristic rules to the extracted content. Functional design diagram components may be generated by the functional design creation tool based on the application of the glossaries and set of heuristic rules. The functional design tool may generate a functional design diagram based on the functional design diagram components. The functional design diagram may be transmitted to a display.

Abstract: A mobile collection application is disclosed that is capable of providing collection data to a field agent on a wireless pocket PC. A collection case inventory module is used to generate a list of collection cases on the wireless pocket PC. The field agent may view a detailed report of collection cases that are contained in the list of collection cases. A payment plan component is also provided that allows the field agent to work out a payment plan with the debtor. The mobile collection application is also capable of allowing field agents to register transient taxpayers for the purpose of collecting sales and use taxes.

Abstract: Image analysis techniques, including object recognition analysis, are applied to images obtained by one or more image capture devices deployed within inventory environments. The object recognition analysis provides object recognition data (that may include one or more recognized product instances) based on stored product (training) images. In turn, a variety of functionalities may be enabled based on the object recognition data. For example, a planogram may be extracted and compared to a target planogram, or at least one product display parameter for a product can be determined and used to assess presence of the product within the inventory environment, or to determine compliance of display of the product with a promotional objective. In yet another embodiment, comparisons may be made within a single image or between multiple images over time to detect potential conditions requiring response. In this manner, efficiency and effectiveness of many previously manually-implemented tasks may be improved.

The command filter module may authorize the plurality of commands for execution by the respective devices based on predetermined set of command rules. Historical and real-time data may be implemented by the command filter module to perform an authorization decision for the plurality of commands. Authorized commands may be transmitted by the command filter module for receipt by the respective devices. The command filter module may generate rejection messages corresponding to unauthorized commands. The rejection messages may be transmitted to a source of an unauthorized command.

Abstract: A textual analysis system is configured to compare textual content of textual statements. The textual analysis system is configured to score the textual content of a first textual statement and a second textual statement. Based on the score, the textual analysis system may determine a level of correspondence between the first textual statement and the second textual statement. The textual analysis system is configured to generate an interactive visual representation of the correspondence levels between the first statement and the second statement. The visual representation may be transmitted to a display.

Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses support the design and building of an information technology infrastructure. Build information may be extracted from an architecture diagram so that an automation engine can build and configure the infrastructure solution. The architecture diagram contains custom property lists that are associated with corresponding infrastructure components. Build data is then generated from the architecture diagram so that the automation engine can build a specified information technology infrastructure. The architecture diagram may represent each infrastructure component with an icon that is selected from a collection of icons, where each icon has a custom property template. Configuration data is populated in entries of the custom property template in accordance with the associated infrastructure component.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating mainframe computer code are provided. Collections of code segments for implementing common input and output operations and error handling operations are linked to an application development platform. Developers identify attributes of input and output operations. The application development platform may then search the collections to locate appropriate input and output operation and error handling operation code segments and generate a template that includes them. The developer may then add code to implement business logic and generate a mainframe application program.

Abstract: An end user control configuration (EUC) system with dynamic user interface provides a user friendly tool for consumers to self-provision and manage network services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. The EUC system dynamically generates graphical user interface (GUI) renderings that assist users in the completion of tasks related to provisioning, and managing network services. The EUC system allows telecommunication service providers to effectively hide the complexity of operational support systems (OSS) and the network elements that deliver the network services. The EUC system solves the technical problems of reducing the cycle-time to self-provision network services, assisting users to complete the tasks required to activate, and manage network services, and actually activating and managing the network services.

Abstract: A system and method for adaptive marketing using insight driven customer interaction. The invention uses a closed-loop process for developing insight that may be used to refine further customer interactions. Results of a first customer interaction such as a marketing campaign are stored in a database. The results may be used to retrain predictive models and gain new insights regarding how customers are responding to marketing campaigns. The insights may be used to refine the offers delivered to customers or to extend additional offers in an effort to increase the likelihood that customers will redeem the offers. After each marketing campaign, the results are stored in the database. New and/or modified offers are created based on insights provided by the results of past campaigns. This process may be repeated such that subsequent campaigns are based on insights generated by the predictive models. The insight enables businesses to better target customers with better offers.
