Abstract: A vector network analysis system and a method of measuring use offset stimulus signals to stimulate a balanced device under test (DUT) to determine performance parameters. The system includes an offset stimulus source that provides a plurality of stimulus signals and a vector network analyzer. At least one stimulus signal is offset from another stimulus signal of the plurality in one or both of frequency and time-varying phase. The offset stimulus source includes a first signal source and a second signal source that respectively provides the offset stimulus signals. The method of measuring includes generating the offset stimulus signals and applying the offset stimulus signals to a balanced port of the DUT to stimulate the DUT. The performance parameters are determined from measurements of the offset stimulus signals and one or more response signals from the stimulated DUT.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing noise in spectral data. A noise burst level is defined. If a spectral point has an intensity greater than the burst level (a burst point), points neighboring the burst point are examined. If a function of these neighboring points indicates that the burst point is a discrete event, then the abundance level of the burst point is altered.
Abstract: A testing device for testing transceivers includes a transmitter operable in a first state to transmit signals, a receiver operable in a second state to receive signals and a power coupler coupling the transmitter to the receiver. The testing device further includes an overload protection device operably coupled between the power coupler and the receiver to reduce or maintain the signal strength of a received signal at the receiver based on a control signal. A controller determines a current state of the received signal and generates the control signal based on the current state of the received signal.

Abstract: Sensors in a network each have a geographical location and they each periodically broadcast this information to all the sensors in the network. Each receiving sensors then builds a list of sensors (neighbor list) that are closest to that sensor by computing the distance between itself and the other sensors. This list can then be used along with a decision algorithm to decide whether that sensor should act or perform a command when it receives a message from other sensors. In one embodiment, a sensor can use the neighbor list to command a specific other sensor(s) to perform a specific function.
Abstract: A node extender adaptor to enable existing in-circuit test systems to qualify printed circuit boards with a node count larger than the number of channels available on the in-circuit tester. The node extender adaptor routes signal channels within the in-circuit test platform to a probe from multiple probes in a test fixture. The probes connect to nets on a PCB undergoing qualification tests. The node extender adaptor sits atop test resources. A custom made test fixture attached onto the node extender adaptor. The node extender adaptor comprises multiple channel router line cards. Switches on the channel router line cards facilitate the switching of channels to one of the multiple probes.

Abstract: A method of detecting a trigger event comprises receiving an input signal for analysis. The received input signal is used to generating first data corresponding to energy of a frequency content of the input signal as the input signal changes with time. At least part of the first data is then compared with second data, the second data corresponding to a predetermined time-varying spectrum indicative of the trigger event. A trigger signal is then generated in response to a change in a state of match between the at least part of first and the second data.
