  • Publication number: 20080116878
Abstract: An RF power sensor is enclosed within a housing. An input port of the housing brings an RF signal into the housing. An RF switch within the housing switches the RF signal between an amplified and filtered path, a through-path and an attenuated path. An RF power detector within the housing detects the electric field of the RF signal and rectifies it into a current to measure the RF energy of the RF signal passing through the amplified path, through-path or attenuated path.

  • Patent number: 7375667
Abstract: Staggered consecutive Nyquist regions associated with differing DAC synthesizer clock rates (FCLK) avoids spectrum lost through disjoint guard bands at the end of or between adjacent Nyquist regions. The staggered consecutive Nyquist regions overlap by an amount at least as much as is consumed by the guard bands. Selectable reconstruction filters associated with each Nyquist region and its DAC clock rate are used to enforce the staggered Nyquist regions and their various guard bands.

  • Patent number: 7376154
Abstract: Discovering routing policies in information networks. Large networks such as Autonomous Systems are abstracted as a single network element. A plurality of taps on the borders of the abstracted element filter ingress/egress data which is forwarded for collection and correlation. By correlating information from different taps, routing policies are discovered. These discovered policies may be compared with published policies. Access control makes discovered policies and the comparisons with published policies selectively available depending on predefined access classes.

  • Patent number: 7371093
Abstract: A ZIF connector is mounted on a tiny PCB that carries damping components and flying leads that are connected or soldered to locations of interest on a PCB. There may be one or many of such ZIF connector/connection accessories in any particular test set-up. A ZIF browser is connected to an active probe's tip by short flexible extended transmission lines that lead back to a small interconnect PCB having plated lands that are inserted into the ZIF connector. The ZIF connector is good for just a limited number of uses, but this is in agreement the a customer's usage model for an inexpensive ‘disposable’ part. Furthermore, the limited lifetime of the ZIF connector/connection accessory is apt to be mitigated in cases where several are in use at one time.

  • Patent number: 7372576
Abstract: A light source system includes a beam source generating a first input beam of light with first and second beam components. The first component has a first linear polarization and a first frequency. The second component has a second linear polarization and a second frequency. • Patent number: 7373403
Abstract: A system to collect heterogeneous scalar measurement data over a network from a plurality of devices connected to the network, and normalize the collected heterogeneous scalar measurement data based on a mathematical transform of collected scalar measurement data into a common mathematical space. The transformed scalar measurement data is displayed in graphical representations such that transformed scalar measurement data from a particular network device can be displayed alongside a graphical representation of a transformed scalar measurement data from a different particular network device. Thus, transformed scalar measurement data from different heterogeneous network devices can be aggregated and displayed in the same graphical representation.

  • Patent number: 7372284
Abstract: A probe for an array of interconnecting leads between a PCA and an IC has one or more contacts extending laterally from or plated upon one or more arms formed of a flexible printed circuit, and connected by traces along the arm(s) to a header that itself affords connection to measurement equipment. The flexible printed circuit is thin enough to loosely slide between the top of the PCA or PCB and the bottom of the IC. The arm or arms is/are narrow enough to slide between the adjacent leads forming the array, while the normally flat contacts will successively interfere with, to engage and electrically contact, consecutive layers of leads as the probe is progressively inserted. An arm is not so stiff that it cannot yield by a slight compressive warping as the contacts encounter leads. Indexing may be ‘by feel’ or by visible indicia along a top surface of the probe or by a reticle device that moves over the top of the IC, which then has a pattern of indicia corresponding to lead location.

  • Patent number: 7372982
Abstract: A method to allow an analyst or other user of molecular-array data to directly tailor pixel-intensity integration of scanned pixel-based representations of features of a molecular array to produce feature signals. The method is embodied in a graphical user interface that allows an analyst or other molecular-array user to input pixel-intensity-weighting functions into a computational system that applies the weighting functions prior to producing integrated feature signals. The GUI provides a user with the ability to select the origin of a feature-centric rectilinear coordinate system, to input a function that specifies the function that is applied to the raw pixel intensities within the region of interest prior to integration of the pixel intensities within the region of interest to produce a feature signal.
