Abstract: The invention concerns a process for joining a first member (1) comprising an aluminum alloy to a second member (2) comprising a titanium alloy and having at least one edge with a thickness e, comprising the steps of (i) chamfering said edge of said second member into a tapered truncated shape having on a first side a first tapering angle ?1, on a second side a second tapering angle ?2 and a minimum thickness t, wherein ?1 and ?2 are greater than or equal to zero, the sum of ?1 and ?2 is between 10° and 50° and t is between 0.05 e and 0.3 e, (ii) placing said first member and said chamfered edge of said second member (21) in an abutting relationship defining a geometry to be weld-brazed (3), (iii) heating the surface areas of said members adjacent the abutment to a temperature above the melting temperature of said aluminum alloy and below the melting temperature of said titanium alloy, in the presence of an inert gas (5) and of a filler metal (4) to obtain a weld-brazed joint.
Abstract: Packaging for receiving liquid, pasty, powdery, granular or solid material having tear-open means and sealed edges and made of a foil-shaped composite material. The foil-shaped composite material has multiple layers. At least one layer of the composite material does not have weakened areas. At least one layer of the composite material has weakened areas located in the packaging at least partly in the area of the filling space. The weakened areas are preferably a series of cuts or a plurality of parallel individual cuts.
Abstract: The process for preparing a composite film for packaging purposes, that includes coextruding polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyethylene-2, 6-naphthalate (PEN) to form a film of polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate. On at least one of the at least one PEN-coated side, a ceramic layer of SiOx, where x is number between 0.9 and 2, is deposited by means of the thin-film vacuum process through the simultaneous vaporization of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and metallic silicon, or by the vaporization of silicon monoxide (SiO) in a vacuum. Each of the at least one ceramic layers of SiOx having a thickness of 10 nm to 200 nm. The resultant composite film retains effective permeability barrier effect for water vapor and gases after sterilization in a water bath or in water vapor at a temperature of more than 90° C.
Abstract: A child-resistant yet senior-friendly packaging for tablets, capsules or similar pharmaceutical products. The packaging is a blister pack (12) with at least one cup (22) that receives tablets (18) in an external package, arranged between a base part (14) and a cover part (16), and that is closed by a cover film (24) that can be pressed through. The cover film (24) of the blister pack (12) is directed towards the base part (14) and the base part (14) comprises an opening (38) through which the product can be withdrawn. The cup (22) of the blister pack (12) is displaceably guided in a slot (30) in the cover part (16) and can be brought in alignment with the opening (38) in the base part (14) so that the cover film (24) can be pressed through and the tablet (18) can be withdrawn. A tear tab (32) is detachably linked with the cover part (16) via a perforated line (36) and covers the slot (30) at least partially.
