Abstract: This electrical switching apparatus has at least two power components each including first and second power transistors. A driver control device of the transistors is configured to deliver a first control signal to each of the first transistors and a second control signal to each of the second transistors, and an electrical interconnect device connecting the driver control device to the power components. Abstract: An air handling system (1) for a land transport vehicle, in particular a railway vehicle (M) is disclosed. The system includes: one or more air handling units (2) distributed within the vehicle (M); a cooling machine (4) that supplies frigories to the air handling units; and a frigories storage unit (8) that is capable of being loaded by the cooling machine and of supplying frigories to the air handling units when the vehicle is travelling in an enclosed or partially enclosed space. When the vehicle (M) is travelling in the open air, the cooling machine (4) supplies frigories to the air handling units (2) and loads the frigories storage unit (8) if a surplus of frigories is produced, by discharging into the exterior of the vehicle (M) the heat extracted from an interior volume of the vehicle.

The first actuation component is operably coupled to the brake system and is configured to cause actuation of the brake system to brake the vehicle when the first actuation component is activated. The automatic control system is onboard the vehicle and is configured to generate a first control signal for controlling the first actuation component to activate to upon occurrence of one or more designated conditions. The second actuation component is operably coupled to the brake system and is configured to cause actuation of the brake system to brake the vehicle upon receipt of one of the first control signal or a second control signal generated by the automatic control system.

Abstract: A direct-drive wind turbine comprises a wind turbine rotor and a generator mounted on a frame. Abstract: Method of operating a wind turbine having a tower, a rotor with a plurality of blades arranged on the tower, one or more pitch systems for pitching the blades, a system for determining an instantaneous representative wind speed, and a system for determining a distance between a blade and the tower. Abstract: A system includes a converter for powering a synchronous electric machine to which it is connected by cables, an insulating device and a mechanism for short-circuiting phases of the machine. The system includes primary detectors for detecting an overcurrent in the converter and a securing device able to open the insulating device when receiving a primary detection signal emitted by the primary detector. The system also includes secondary detectors able to detect a short-circuit downstream from the insulating device and to emit a secondary detection signal toward the securing device, the latter actuating the closing of the mechanism for short-circuiting as long as they have already received a primary detection signal having led to the opening of the insulating device.
