Abstract: Described are techniques for accessing a brokerage system for providing broker services to consumers from various service providers. A graphical user interface renders a plurality of controls that when selected by a consumer, sends a request to consult with a service provider of a type associated with the corresponding one of the plurality of controls. Upon receiving the request a second graphical user interface is sent to enable the user to provide information to a service provider for use during a consultation with a service provider of the type associated with the corresponding one of the controls.
