    Abstract: A shielded connector assembly having a small number of parts and high resistance against prying forces exerted by another connector. When shield shells are mounted to shielded connector portions of an integrally formed insulative housing, side walls of the shield shells are positioned within paths of the housing. Latch tongue pieces of the side walls engage shoulders of engagement recesses of the housing, and latch tongue pieces of upper walls engage stopper portions. The shield shells are prevented from being pulled out from the housing. The side walls are supported so that movement in the direction perpendicular to partition walls is prevented due to its position between support surfaces of the partition walls and a base portion of the housing.

    Abstract: An electrical connector has an insulative housing that is mounted on a circuit board. The insulative housing has a plurality of contacts with tines that extend through a bottom surface of the insulative housing for connection to the circuit board. A movable contact alignment member is positioned adjacent to the bottom surface of the housing and aligns the tines with the circuit board. The moveable contact alignment member is temporarily fixed to the insulative housing by latch arms and is urged into permanent fixture with the insulative housing by the circuit board when the insulative housing is mounted thereon. A shield member is attached to the insulative housing. The shield member has an extension portion configured to shield at least a portion of the tines that are exposed between the insulative housing and the movable contact alignment member.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical cable for termination to an electrical component and method for termination that minimizes the mismatching of the differential impedance of a terminal part from which a shielding covering of an electrical cable has been stripped in a cable consisting of two differential transmission signal wires, a drain wire and a shielding covering that covers the electrical wire. Accordingly, a plastic heat-shrink tube is caused to adhere tightly to the terminal part and shielding covering, except for the stripped front end portion of the terminal part, so that the front end portion is exposed. As a result, the heat-shrink tube prevents or alleviates the mismatching of the differential impedance.

A metal latching arm 44 which is formed with the approximate shape of a shallow inverted V, and which has an engaging part 54, is disposed between these fastening parts 40 and protruding parts 42. The latching arm 44 can be pressed by means of a finger-catch part 68. This configuration obtains the desired shielding performance while maintaining a compact size in a shielded electrical connector assembly.

    Abstract: A board mountable connector has a pair of mounting portions to be mounted on a board. A mounting aperture is formed in each mounting portion, and a keying protrusion is formed on one of the pair and aligned with the mounting aperture. A slot that receives the keying protrusion is aligned with one of the openings. This slot is formed thin, to correspond to the keying protrusion of the mounting portion. The mounting portion serves as a securing means by a bolt as well as a keying means to prevent erroneous mounting. Connector retention is therefore improved while minimizing the area required on the board.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an armature spring (4) for a relay comprising a fastening section (3), a connected oblong spring section and a lever (7). The lever is located on the side of the longitudinal axis of the spring section opposite to that of the fastening section (3) so that the spring section is subject to torsional stress. Due to the torsional stress of the spring section, an even progression of the spring characteristic curve can be achieved. The stress is very even, so that the spring is very small and simple. In advantageous embodiments, the spring section extends parallel to the armature pivot axis and is formed by a torsion web (6). The lever section can be flexibly deformable. As a result the spring characteristic can be particularly easily and flexibly adjusted. As a result the spring armature can be combined with a magnet system exhibiting opening angles of 10° to 15°.
