Abstract: A connector housing and a process for making same, in which the connector housing comprises a base part and a pivoting part, attached to the base part and made in one piece with the base part. The pivoting part has at least one surface delimiting an insertion opening in the connector housing through which a pin contact may be inserted into a socket contact in the connector housing. The connector housing being injection molded, with the pivoting part located in an open position, providing sufficient space for the molds for shaping a latching hook. After the mold has been removed, the pivoting part is moved into a closed position in which the delimiting surface of the pivoting part is moved towards the insertion opening. The connector housing cures with the pivoting part in the closed position. The socket contact is held in a contact chamber by a latching hook.
Abstract: A land grid array socket comprises an insulative housing having a plurality of contacts. The insulative housing has a top surface for receiving a land grid array package. A cover member is pivotally mounted on a first end of the insulative housing. The cover member is pivotal between an open position and a closed position where the cover member presses the land grid array package toward the top surface of the insulative housing so that the land grid array package electrically connects to the contacts. A lever is pivotally mounted on a second end of the insulative housing. The lever has a locking portion for locking the cover member in the closed position. A metallic reinforcing plate is positioned on a bottom surface of the housing. The metallic reinforcing plate extends between the first end and the second end of the insulative housing.
Abstract: A connector for a ribbon cable is described having two part plates which are preferably connected to one another via a connection piece. The part plates are therefore preferably integral in design. In the region of the connection piece there are contact slots made in the part plates. Preferably the part plates can be produced in the form of continuous plates and cut as required into the desired width from the continuous ribbon. For assembling the connector a ribbon cable is inserted between the part plates and subsequently the part plates are folded on to one another by means of a simple folding operation and preferably permanently connected to one another by fastening elements.
Abstract: Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to rear-projection screens encompassing at least one light-scattering polymethyl methacrylate layer of thickness in the range from 0.05 to 4 mm comprising spherical particles whose size is in the range from 5 to 35 µm, at a concentration in the range from 2 to 60% by weight, based on the total weight of the light-scattering polymethyl methacrylate layer, the refractive index of the spherical plastics particles differing from that of the polymethyl methacrylate matrix by a value in the range from 0.02 to 0.2, wherein the concentration of the spherical plastics particles cP, the thickness of the light-scattering polymethyl methacrylate layer dS, and the size of the spherical plastics particles DP is selected in such a way that the ratio cP*dS/DP3 is in the range from 0.0015 to 0.015% by weight*mm/µm3 and the ratio of average surface roughness of the polymethyl methacrylate layer Ra to the size of the spherical plastics particles Dp is in the range from 0.

Abstract: The invention provides an electrical connector assembly that is constituted by a first connector and a second connector, each of the first and second connectors having signal contacts disposed in two rows, a grounding member disposed between the rows of signal contacts and a housing that holds the signal contacts and the grounding member and being engaged with each other, and an electrical connector that constitutes the electrical connector assembly. The electrical connector and electrical connector assembly increase the reliability of a grounding path, require only a small number of component parts and are suitable for high-speed signal transmission. A first grounding plate and a second grounding plate that constitute the grounding member are disposed in the immediate vicinity of rows of signal contacts that are disposed in two rows and the housing has a through opening. Therefore, a connection section that constitutes the grounding member can be visually checked.
Abstract: A connector for a ribbon cable includes a housing having a ribbon cable receiving region extending between a front surface and a back surface of the housing. A ribbon cable disposed in the ribbon cable receiving region. The ribbon cable has contact sections arranged at the back surface of the housing. Retention clips arranged on the back surface of the housing that receive a portion of the ribbon cable. The retention clips are arranged at a fixed spacing such that the contact sections of the ribbon cable are accessible between each of the retention clips for receiving contact elements.
Abstract: A plug connection device comprises a contact pin and a receiving element. The contact pin has an outer surface. The receiving element has openings. Each of the openings has an inner surface that contacts the outer surface of the contact pin when the contact pin is received therein. The plug connection device has grooves extending in a radial direction. A distance between adjacent grooves is smaller than a distance between adjacent openings.
Abstract: A connector assembly includes a housing having a jack interface. The jack interface has a receptacle jack therein, and the receptacle jack is configured to receive a plug. A sensor bezel is removably attachable to the jack interface, and the sensor bezel comprises a cavity extending therethrough to allow passage of a plug when inserted into the receptacle jack. The sensor bezel includes a circuit board proximate the jack cavity. At least one sensor contact is aligned with, and configured to engage, a sensor probe associated with a plug insertable into the receptacle jack. An interchangeable output cassette provides an output signal through the front or the rear of the connector assembly.

Abstract: A land grid array socket contact has a resilient contact that extends parallel to a base plate and is attached to at least one side walls of the base plate by a curved section angled approximately 180 degrees from the at least one side wall. The resilient contact has a free end for contacting a contact pad. A board terminal extends from a lower end of the base plate for connection to a circuit board. In another embodiment, the land grid array socket contact has a resilient contact extending from an upper end of a base plate. The resilient contact has an elongated slit substantially in a center of the resilient contact with respect to a direction of width and a free end for contacting a contact pad. A board terminal extends from a lower end of the base plate for connection to a circuit board.
