Abstract: A circuit arrangement includes a plurality of functional units each of which comprises a plurality of data processing modules and a local controller. The plurality of data processing modules run a common system clock and are connected by a streaming data bus running a handshake-type streaming data transfer protocol. A profiling module of the circuit arrangement assesses control signals tapped at predefined interfaces of the streaming data bus during real time operation, for determining link performance and communication patterns for profiling and debugging purposes, and hence constitutes a simple and low cost approach for assessing intra-component and inter-component link performance and communication patterns on large SoCs. A method for profiling data flow for use in such a circuit arrangement is also provided.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel unit having predetermined viewing angle characteristics. An image data conversion unit is included that converts original image data to be displayed on the display panel unit so that a luminance difference in a low gray level region does not substantially change between before and after conversion and so that a luminance difference in a high gray level region changes in such a manner that a luminance difference obtained after conversion becomes smaller than a luminance difference obtained before conversion. A data holding unit holds predetermined oblique-view image data corresponding to the predetermined viewing angle characteristics of the display panel unit. An image combining unit combines image data obtained through conversion by the image data conversion unit with the predetermined oblique-view image data to generate composite image data. The composite image data is displayed on the display panel unit.

Abstract: A sparse representation method of text classification is described. An input text document is represented as a document feature vector y. A category dictionary H provides possible examples [h1; h2; . . . ; hn] of the document feature vector y. The input text document is classified using a sparse representation text classification algorithm that solves for y=H? where a sparseness condition is enforced on ? to select a small number of examples from the dictionary H to describe the document feature vector y.

Abstract: A dual frequency antenna with wide frequency includes an inner radiator in helical structure, which is electrically connected with a host by a feeding point of the host, and an outer radiator in helical structure in which the inner radiator is packed. The inner radiator includes a first radiating unit located at the lower part for generating resonance and a second radiating unit located at the upper part. The resonant frequency of the second radiating unit is higher than that of the first radiating part; the height of the helical structure of the outer radiator is less than the total height of the inner radiator. The performance of dual frequency antenna can better focus on the upper hemisphere, and the bandwidth of the dual frequency antenna is wider in the ultra high frequency (UHF) frequency band.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for export control includes providing input for an invoice to a computer device. The invoice is for a sale or potential sale of at least one of goods and services. A computer device determines whether at least one of a customer, location for receipt of goods, and location for receipt of services is associated with an embargo state. The computer device blocks any portion of the invoice determined to be associated with an embargo state. The computer device determines if the at least one of goods and services requires at least one export license or other permission for exporting the at least one of goods and services. The computer device assigns permissions that are available. The computer device also communicates or identifies any permission or export license that is needed to be requested to initiate a permission or export license request for that export license or permission.

Abstract: A switch creates and dynamically updates a latency map of a network to adjust routing of flows. Further, the network is monitored to detect latency issues and trigger a dynamic adjustment of routing based on the latency map. In this manner, a flow can be routed along a route (i.e., a faster route) that provides less latency than other available routes. The latency map can be generated based on latency probe packets that are issued from and returned to the source switch. By evaluating many such latent probe packets that have traveled along many available routes (e.g., corresponding to various ports of the switch), the switch or associated administrative logic can dynamically adjust the latency map to updated latency information of available routes. Therefore, responsive to a trigger, the source switch can dynamically adjust the routing of a flow based on latency issues discerned from the network.

Abstract: The Universal Packet Loss Recovery System is capable of recovering end-to-end network packet losses to obtain reliable end-to-end network delivery of multimedia streaming content over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, where packet losses appear above the transport layer. This system incorporates the use of Packet Forward Error Correction Coding (FEC) with packet interleaving processing prior to transport. Packet FEC Coding is an error correction coding method at the packet level which improves link transmission reliability. At the source end of the packet-switching network, the Packet FEC Coding scheme encodes a stream of transport multimedia content packets by including redundant packets to allow for recovery of lost packets by the Packet FEC Coding decoder at the user end of the packet-switching network. Since lost packets appear only above the transport layer in the IP network protocol stack, Packet FEC Coding can be viewed as a transport layer or application layer coding method.
Abstract: A method, system, and computer readable media are provided for managing multiple HTTP cookies that are present in a wireless communication system. When a secure or non-secure HTTP cookie is formed, a time of creation for that HTTP cookie is also created as part of the cookie header. Therefore, when a wireless device makes a subsequent communication to a web based server, the gateway compares the creation time for multiple HTTP cookies that are present, and only forwards the most recently created HTTP cookie to the web based server. This avoids invalidating a session as a result of receiving multiple conflicting HTTP cookies from the same wireless device.

Abstract: In order to prevent in a communication system covering at least one cell for wireless communication, the system having a line-limited or across-line wireless direct communication possibility between mobile phones that is synchronized with a base station, that mobile parts attempt to synchronize in the communication system with a continuous broadcast downlink service provided by a hybrid mobile part, it is proposed to mark the continuous broadcast downlink service of the hybrid mobile part, which assumes the role of a radio fixed part, so that mobile parts, which want to synchronize with a true radio fixed part, can detect that the service provided by the hybrid mobile part is not permanently available, or even incomplete.

Abstract: A camera assembly for generating high resolution photograph includes a sensor assembly that has two regions of different effective resolution. Image data from multiple images that are captured with the sensor assembly are combined to generate output image data in the form of a high resolution picture. A first region of the sensor is used to capture image data for the images that are combined. A second region, that is of higher effective resolution than the first region, is used to capture image data for use in aligning the image data from the plural images prior to combination.

Abstract: An IP system receives a call placed to an ENUM address. The IP system transfers a signaling message indicating the ENUM address to a processing system. For a call to a ported number, the processing system translates the ENUM address into the LRN for a communication node that serves the called party and returns the LRN to the IP system. The IP system routes the call based on the LRN.
Abstract: A multi-carrier base transceiver system is configured to improve sector throughout by selectively allocating available carriers to subscribers based on Quality of Service (QoS) requirements, as well as the prevailing radio frequency (RF) environment for the subject subscriber. In one embodiment, the base transceiver may provide three separate carriers, each represented as a forward link channel in which individual time slots are separately allocated according to a scheduling protocol. Once the QoS requirements and prevailing RF conditions are determined, a number of the available carriers are allocated such that the desired throughput is achieved using a fewest number of carriers.

Abstract: Optical amplification by combining two or more optical signals from separate optical fibers, amplifying the combined signal using an optical fiber, and separating the amplified signals into their constituent optical signals. The separated optical signals may then be sent further in the direction they had been heading before combination. This allows multiple optical signals to be amplified using a single optical amplifier, perhaps even in a single optical fiber. Although not required, the two optical signals may even be travelling in different directions.
