  • Patent number: 8144678
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable media are provided for allowing a mobile device to maintain communication connectivity during a handoff between wireless access points. In one aspect, the method may include negotiating security association information and establishing a first communication tunnel by tunneling an inner IP address within a first outer IP address. The method may further include authenticating a request for establishing a second communication tunnel by identifying the negotiated security association information within the request. Additionally, the method may include establishing the second communication tunnel by tunneling the inner IP address within a second outer IP address. Moreover, the method may include pushing data associated with the communication session through the second communication tunnel.

  • Publication number: 20120067142
Abstract: What is proposed is simply-structured initial slippage detection means. When a contact member (5) comes in contact with a contact receiving member (2) via a pressure-sensitive conductive sheet (3A), it is confirmed, on the basis of a change in resistivity of the pressure-sensitive conductive sheet (3A) and in response to a detection signal (S1) transmitted from the pressure-sensitive conductive sheet (3A), that initial slippage has occurred right before the occurrence of slippage displacement, at a time when a high-frequency waveform component (VpX) generated right before the occurrence of the slippage displacement of the contact member (5) exceeds a predetermined threshold value. Therefore, it is possible to realize a slippage detection device whose slippage detection section is smaller, more lightweight and thinner.

  • Publication number: 20120072110
Abstract: A pressure sensor can be implemented on a network device to minimize vertical positioning errors of the network device in an indoor environment. A reference altitude and a reference pressure associated with an access point in the indoor environment are received at the network device via a communication network. A pressure is determined at the network device in the indoor environment. An altitude of the network device associated with the pressure at the network device in the indoor environment is calculated based, at least in part, on the pressure at the network device, the reference pressure, and the reference altitude. A position of the network device in the indoor environment is determined based, at least in part, on the altitude of the navigation device and location information received from at least the access point.
