Abstract: Devices including a wireless receiver, e.g., indoor CBSDs, in a local network, e.g. a campus network, monitor for wireless signals conveying synchronization information. Different devices in the local area network may detect wireless signals conveying synchronization information from one or more different sources. A device detecting a source of synchronization information generates and sends a timing signal accuracy report to a switch, e.g. an intelligent IDF switch, included in the local network. The switch receives multiple timing signal accuracy reports, selects a “best” sync source and designates the particular device, e.g., particular CBSD, which reported the best sync source, to be the current master timing device for the local network. The switch communicates the address, e.g., IP address, of the selected master to the devices within the local network.
Abstract: A processor coupled to a first communication device produces and transmits a first encoded vector and a second encoded vector to a second communication device via a communication channel that applies a channel transformation to the encoded vectors during transmission. A processor coupled to the second communication device receives the transformed signals, constructs a matrix based on the transformed signals, detects an effective channel thereof, and identifies left and right singular vectors of the effective channel. A precoding matrix is selected from a codebook of unitary matrices based on a message, and a second encoded vector is produced based on a second known vector, the precoding matrix, a complex conjugate of the left singular vectors, and the right singular vectors. A first symbol of the second encoded vector and a second symbol of the second encoded vector are sent to the first communication device for identification of the message.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a communication network within which relays, which are connected to devices participating in a communication session (e.g., a video conference), are dynamically added and removed from the communication session. For instance, when participating in a communication session, a sending network device sends media streams (e.g., audio and/or video media streams) to its associated relay. The relay sends, through a relay communication link, the media streams to one or more receiving relays. The one or more receiving relays then forward the media stream to associated receiving network devices. As additional network devices join the communication session, the additional network devices connect to additional relays, which establish a network of relay communication links with all the relays involved in the communication session. Furthermore, as network devices leave the communication session, relays can be removed from the communication session.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a user operating a communication device communicates a request for retrieval of content to a server resource. In response to communicating the request, the communication device receives content display information defining how to produce a rendition of the requested content for display on a display screen of the communication device. The display information indicates multiple portions of individually retrievable content in which to populate the rendition of the requested content. The computer device utilizes the priority information to select an order of retrieving the multiple portions to populate the rendition of the requested content.
