Abstract: True random number generation (TRNG) circuits are presented which employ magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) elements that can change magnetization state probabilistically in response to application of electrical pulses. Some implementations include pulse generators which apply perturbation sequences to the MTJ elements. The MTJ elements responsively produce randomized outputs related to changes in magnetization states. Probability compensators are included which monitor for deviations in measured probabilities in the randomized outputs from a target probability. The probability compensators make adjustments to the perturbation sequences to influence probabilistic changes in the magnetization states of the MTJ elements and bring the measured probabilities to within a predetermined deviation from the target probability.
Abstract: A plurality of transducers positioned at respective specified locations in a vehicle are actuated to generate a plurality of respective tones. A plurality of respective time differences are determined between times that each respective tone is generated by the respective transducer and the tone is detected by a portable device. A location of the portable device is determined based at least in part on the time differences.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a process for producing thermoplastic polyolefin roofing membrane. The process includes directly adding components of a high-load flame retardant TPO formulation to a counter-rotating twin screw extruder. The process includes extruding the formulation with counter-rotation of the twin screws and forming a TPO roofing membrane having a tensile strength of greater than 10 MPa and a flame retardance of rating of classification D as measured in accordance with EN ISO 11925-2, surface exposure test.

Abstract: A vehicle with a body, two front wheels and at least one rear wheel. An airfoil is mounted to the body with adjustability in angle of attack, and at least one of the front wheels is driven to permit acceleration to a cruise speed at which the airfoil provides sufficient lift to raise the rear wheel off the road while the front wheels maintain contact with the road. Lift may be modified by at least modifying velocity and modifying the angle of attack of the airfoil. This vehicle provides advantages in comfort and efficiency due to reduced friction in contact with the road and imperfections on the road. The wing may also be adjusted to increase downward force on the rear wheel.
Abstract: A carton includes a top wall (12a/12b), first side wall (14), second side wall (18), first end wall, a second end wall and a bottom wall (16). The carton has a handle structure (H) defined at least in part in an outer panel (12b) and at least in part in an inner panel (12a). The outer panel is disposed in overlapping relationship with the inner panel to form the top wall. The outer panel includes an outer handle strap (30) while the inner panel includes an inner handle strap (32). The outer handle strap is continuously formed with the outer panel at its first end and severably attached to the outer panel at its second end by a frangible connection (46). The inner handle strap includes a first end disposed in the inner panel and continuously formed with the inner panel.

Abstract: A DNA sequencing device and related methods, wherein the device includes a substrate, a nanochannel formed in the substrate, a first electrode positioned on a first side of the nanochannel, and a second electrode. The second electrode is positioned on a second side of the nanochannel opposite the first electrode, and is spaced apart from the first electrode to form an electrode gap that is exposed in the nanochannel. At least a portion of first electrode is movable relative to the second electrode to decrease a size of the electrode gap.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for providing personalized notifications to video viewers are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving, using a hardware processor, one or more prompts to be presented in association with a video from a user account associated with the video; receiving, from the user account associated with the video, one or more notifications, wherein each of the one or more prompts is associated with one of the one or more notifications; causing the one or more prompts to be presented in association with presentation of the video to a user; receiving an indication that a first prompt of the one or more of the prompts was selected by the user; causing a notification associated with the first prompt to be presented to the user in response to receiving the indication.
Abstract: A fuel cell for use in downhole applications stores steam created by the chemical reaction in a desiccant like Zeolite. The fuel cell also uses ambient hydrostatic pressure to increase cell voltage and power-density.
Abstract: According to one configuration, an analyzer resource determines an ability of a wireless access point to wirelessly communicate over each of multiple available wireless communication channels in a wireless frequency band. The analyzer resource produces performance information (performance metrics or calibration information) based on the measured ability. The analyzer resource assigns the performance metrics to the wireless access point. When operating in the field (such as in a wireless network environment), to provide mobile communication devices access to a remote network, the wireless access point uses the assigned performance metrics as a basis to select amongst multiple available wireless communication channels to communicate with one or more mobile communication devices in the wireless network environment. These and other techniques are disclosed herein.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a member for securely dispensing a substance to an intended user includes a first member configured to threadedly engage with a housing containing the substance; a second member coupled to the first member, the second member configured to fixedly secure the first member to the housing; a third member including a cavity sized and shaped to selectively receive the second member; and a valve coupled to the first member such that: when the second member is received within the cavity, the valve is in an open state that allows the substance to be dispensed from the housing to the intended user in response to a processor determining that a unique biometric attribute of the intended user is detected, and when the second member is not received within the cavity, the valve is in a closed state that prevents the substance from being dispensed from the housing.

Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for indicating a refresh activity that affects an object in a shared document are presented. A first instance of a shared document may be displayed on a computing device of a first user. A second instance of the shared document may be displayed on a computing device of a second user, wherein the first and second users are concurrently active in the shared document. An indication that the second user has initiated a refresh of underlying data affecting an object displayed in the first instance of the shared document may be received from the second instance of the shared document. An indication of the initiated refresh may be displayed in the first instance of the shared document.
