  • Patent number: 10731452
Abstract: A gas separator assembly has a pump inlet that generates an artificial sump in a production casing. The assembly includes an inner casing in series with the production casing of the well and an outer casing supported externally of the inner casing. First and second ports at opposing top and bottom ends of the outer casing communicate from the production casing to an annulus between the inner and outer casings. A barrier supported in the primary passage between the first and second ports diverts flow through the annulus. One or more dissolvable sleeves within the annulus prevents the annulus from filling with material during construction of the casing but dissolves when the sleeves come in contact with wet wellbore fluid.

  • Patent number: 10732975
Abstract: Embodiments relate to improving user experiences when executing binary code that has been translated from other binary code. Binary code (instructions) for a source instruction set architecture (ISA) cannot natively execute on a processor that implements a target ISA. The instructions in the source ISA are binary-translated to instructions in the target ISA and are executed on the processor. The overhead of performing binary translation and/or the overhead of executing binary-translated code are compensated for by increasing the speed at which the translated code is executed, relative to non-translated code. Translated code may be executed on hardware that has one or more power-performance parameters of the processor set to increase the performance of the processor with respect to the translated code. The increase in power-performance for translated code may be proportional to the degree of translation overhead.

  • Patent number: 10733602
Abstract: Heartbeat consensus forming for the state of a digital ledger built upon a blockchain to provide users with the ability to securely, accurately, and verifiably share state information between distrustful parties is provided herein. The digital ledger is hosted in a networked environment, accessible by multiple parties. Heartbeat transactions allow clients, who are not in direct communication with one another and may distrust one another, to verify the integrity of the digital ledger via consensus. The consensus is readily verifiable by each client on its own machine and allows the ledger to be recovered to an agreed-to state in the event of a fault initiated by a client or the host of the ledger, whether malicious or otherwise. The digital ledger is freely movable to different hosts in the event of a fault.

  • Patent number: 10734048
Abstract: One or more control lines other than those used to activate a non-volatile memory cell may be used to sense a data value of the cell. For example, an apparatus may include a selection circuit that selects, based on an address corresponding to a non-volatile memory cell included an array of non-volatile memory cells, a word line coupled to the non-volatile memory cells to activate the non-volatile memory cell. An amplifier circuit may sense a data value stored in the non-volatile memory cell based on a sense signal having a voltage level based on voltage levels of one or more other word lines of the array of non-volatile memory cells. In another example, a data value of a non-volatile memory cell coupled to a word line may be sensed based on the voltage levels of one or more dummy sense lines within the array.

  • Patent number: 10733016
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for scheduling first-in-first-out instructions are described. In one aspect, a method includes receiving data representing code of a program to be executed by a processing unit comprising hardware processors. For each of one or more of the hardware processors, an order of independent groups of first-in-first-out (FIFO) instructions for execution by the hardware processor is identified in the data representing the code of the program. For each independent group of FIFO instructions for execution by the hardware processor, a path length metric that represents how long it will take to reach an end of the program from the independent group of FIFO instructions is determined. A new order of the independent groups of FIFO instructions for execution by the hardware processor is generated based at least on the path length metric for each independent group of FIFO instructions for execution by the hardware processor.

  • Patent number: 10733601
Abstract: Disclosed are examples of a method, a wearable device and a system enabling authentication of a user of a payment account or completion of a purchase transaction via signals generated by the wearable device. A process may include a wearable device generating a modulated signal using an encryption algorithm. The modulated signal may contain authentication information related to the wearable device including a cryptographic authentication message. The modulated signal is output to a biological medium interface of the wearable device that is coupled to a biological medium of a wearer of the wearable device. The biological medium is operable to conduct the modulated signal. A receiving device processes including decrypting and demodulating the modulated signal received from the biological medium. Using the demodulated signal, the authentication information transmitted from the wearable device is obtained. Based on the obtained authentication information, a transaction may be authorized, or a user authenticated.

  • Patent number: 10732847
Abstract: A non-volatile memory system may include a non-volatile memory die storing a requested data set that a host requests to be read. In response to the host request, a copy of a data set may be retrieved from the non-volatile memory die without performing error correction on an entry identifying a physical address where the data set is stored. If the data set copy matches the requested data set, the data set copy may be sent to the host. If the data set copy does not match the requested data set, then error correction may be performed on a copy of the entry to identify the correct physical address where the requested data set is stored. A copy of the requested data set may then be retrieved and sent to the host.
