Abstract: A covered hopper railroad freight car having a car body whose opposite longitudinal sides include generally flat, parallel, substantially vertical upper side wall portions free from outwardly protruding structural strength members. A top chord of each of the side walls of the car is defined by a pair of parallel bend lines extending longitudinally along the upper margin of each side wall, and a roof is welded to the top chords of the side walls.
Abstract: A clutch apparatus for releasing the transmission of rotation from an electric motor to a spin shaft, is equipped with a rear clutch nut and a front clutch nut in order from the rear end side. The rear clutch nut transmits rotating force from the electric motor to the front clutch nut when engaged with the front clutch nut, but is disengaged from the front clutch nut by a predetermined rotation load. The front clutch nut has a cylindrical shape, so that the spin shaft can be arranged at an axial center portion, and when engaged with the engaging unit of the spin shaft, the rotating force is transmitted to the spin shaft, but the clutch is disengaged by a backward stroke of the front clutch nut and a predetermined stroke toward the tip of the spin shaft.
Abstract: The present invention relates to various herbicidal compositions comprising microcapsules containing an acetamide herbicide. The present invention also relates to processes for preparing these compositions and methods of using these compositions for controlling weeds.
Abstract: A replacement cartridge for repairing rather than replacing an angle cock. The cartridge has a ball key with a ball and a shaft. A unitary ball seat that has first and second internal bearing surfaces for engaging the ball is used to support the ball key when installed in the angle cock body that is being repaired. A cover is positioned over the ball seat and defines a bore through which the shaft of the ball key extends. A handle is coupled to the shaft of the ball key so that a user may rotate the ball between the internal bearing surfaces between an open position and a closed position.

Abstract: A card manufacturing system includes a locating device and a separation device. The locating device is configured to identify a position of one or more information carrying cards formed integrally with a laminate sheet and generate information corresponding to the position of the one or more information carrying cards. The separation device includes at least one singulation mechanism configured to separate each of the one or more information carrying cards from the laminate sheet. The singulation mechanism separates the one or more information cards based on the information corresponding to the position of the one or more information carrying cards.
Abstract: A bedding system includes a base. A pressure generator is coupled to the base. A spacer is positioned over the base. A coil pack is positioned over the spacer. The coil pack is positioned within a recess of an encasement. A duct includes a first end that is in communication with the pressure generator and a second end that is in communication with the recess. A comfort layer is positioned over the encasement. A cover is positioned over the comfort layer.
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer retention system composed of cartridges that permit advantageous control of airflow beyond the cartridge. Smart cartridges permit shut-off, increase, or some fractional delivery of airflow to computer equipment.
Abstract: Techniques are provided to compensate for neighbor word line interference when programming memory cells connected to a selected word line WLn. Before programming, the assigned data states of WLn and WLn+1 are compared and corresponding compensation data is generated. The compensation data may be stored in latches of sense circuits to modify the verify tests which occur during programming. The compensation can involve adjusting the bit line voltage, word line voltage, sense node discharge period and/or trip voltage. During a verify test, the compensation data can cause a WLn memory cell to complete programming when its threshold voltage is lower than would be the case with no compensation. When the WLn+1 memory cells are subsequently programmed, an upshift in the threshold voltage of the WLn memory cell offsets the compensation.
Abstract: A method for controlling a vehicle comprises identifying a first detected position of a trailer coupler in the sensor data and identifying a trajectory range of a hitch of the vehicle based on a steering angle range of the vehicle. In response to the first detected position being outside the trajectory range, the method may continue by calculating a nearby position within the trajectory range based on the trajectory range. The method further comprises maneuvering the vehicle aligning the hitch with the nearby position.
Abstract: Shallow Trench Isolation (STI) chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) polishing compositions, methods and systems of use therefore are provided. The CMP polishing composition comprises abrasives of ceria coated inorganic metal oxide particles, such as ceria-coated silica; and dual chemical additives for providing high oxide film removal rate. The dual chemical additives comprise gelatin compounds possessing negative and positive charges on the same molecule, and non-ionic organic molecules having multi hydroxyl functional groups in the same molecule.

Abstract: A compromise detection system protects data centers (DCs) or other providers in the cloud. The compromise detection system can detect compromised virtual machines (VMs) through changes in network traffic characteristics while avoiding expensive data collection and preserving privacy. The compromise detection system obtains and uses periodically-obtained flow pattern summaries to detect compromised VMs. Agent-based detection on predetermined and compromised VMs can expose (using supervised learning) the network behavior of compromised VMs and then apply the learned model to all VMs in the DC. The compromise detection system can run continuously, protect the privacy of cloud customers, comply with Europe's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and avoid various techniques that both erode privacy and degrade VM performance.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for use with a vaporizer that vaporizes at least one active ingredient of a plant material. In response to receiving a first input to the vaporizer, the plant material is heated, in a first heating step. An indication of the temperature of the plant material is detected, and, in response to detecting an indication that the temperature of the plant material is at a first temperature, the first heating step is terminated, by withholding causing further temperature increase of the plant material. The first temperature is less than 95 percent of the vaporization temperature of the active ingredient. Subsequently, a second input is received at the vaporizer. In response thereto, the plant material is heated to the vaporization temperature, in a second heating step. Other applications are also described.
Abstract: The inventors disclose a new apparatus and method for visual and audible demonstration of musical concepts such as intervals, the tonic, transposition, scales, modes, and chords. The apparatus is based on a primary layer of indicia for each of the 12 chromatic notes of the musical octave, each indicium paired with a touch sensor. A novel means for superimposing additional layers of musical information employs a tonic indicator and encoder, and modular physical indicator pieces or multi-colored LED lights.
